    Whimsical or twee?

I also like the one called dahlia. On this page

Has to be reasonably sober for the study.....but also needs to have colour, be light and quite summery

Both give me a headache but then I was never one for patterns, they make my eyes go all weird.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I have a horrible, horrible cold. I am ok ish sitting in bed but as soon as I get up, I feel absolutely awful and have to go and lay down again as soon as I can.

Don't think we will be going far over the weekend but no real rest, youngest has geek hut tomorrow at 1.

Full house here tonight, but we all seem to be on a different timezone.

Managed a friday night dinner together but have now dispersed.

OH home from work trip to east coast of America, night flight and he slept on the flight but he is now zonked but feels its lunchtime.

DS2 went to a friends uni last night, partied through the night, went to bed at 7am and slept all morning. Is now zonked and gone to bed.

DS1 has gone into town and maybe back before morning but may not.

Feel I'm the only one on a normal time zone.

Would there be any benefit if we shifted the hours on the clock by say 4 hours. Called the time we woke up 10AM so we all had a "long lie in". Wander into work "late" at 1PM, put in effort and feel worthy at having a late shift and came home for a late supper (10-11PM like currently in Spain) and "stayed up to the small hours" going to bed say 3-4 AM?

Like that place in the US that wanted to swap the names of February and August to make everyone feel it wasn't too hot or cold.;)

Well I don't have a house at all yet!

My parents bought a new build in '97 - the walls are still all magnolia. I briefly persuaded them that the hall should be a soft yellow (needed repainting due to scuff marks), but it is once again magnolia.

I decided a while back that my lounge will have magnolia walls and deep red and turquoise accessories. Other than that I think the rooms will have coloured walls.

Not that I have spent too long thinking about this you understand :rotfl:

I've recently attended a meeting at the home of some people I've only started getting to know recently, and I love the colour scheme in their living room. Mine is mushroom coloured - pale mushroom on most of the walls, with dark mushroom on the feature chimney breast. I don't like it - it was like that when I bought the place - and I find it cold and uninviting. These people whose house I've just visited have a similar shape and age of room, but with rich warm cream on most of the walls, and a deep red feature chimney breast. Do you think they would think it was weird of me to copy their colour scheme? If we both continue belonging to this group that meets at their house, it's likely they'll come to my house at some point, so they'll find out if I do copy.
So, this managed pharmacy thing for my drugs has NOT worked. They were meant to come last evening and didn't so said they would come this evening and haven't. Grrrrrrrrr.

Grrrr indeed. When will you run out? Are you hopeful of getting more in time?

Sue, I hope you feel much better very soon. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Are you fully recovered now Lydia? I seem to have sore throat, hopefully it won't lead to anything. DD2 and DS have birthday on Sunday but all have been under the weather this week.
    I think....

Did not realise you had twins. Hope they have a happy birthday!

My DD has a birthday this month. Then she has one more year of being a teenager. Where has the time gone? Enjoy your children michaels. They'll be all grown up in the blink of an eye, I'm afraid.

The rain it raineth on the just
    And also on the unjust fella;
But chiefly on the just, because
The unjust steals the just's umbrella.

Crivens it raineth here on the just and the unjust fella. We had drinks after work on the 14th floor and I watched the lightning bouncing around the city and the Harbour.

Today is England-style drizzle. 15C with it. Brrrrrrr. Still the garden's enjoying it although I could do with getting out there an getting the leaves up. Still it dries up soon enough. I've got shepherds pie mix in the slow cooker and I'll treat myself to a good bottle of Aussie red tonight. I might push the boat out a bit as I've had a great week this week.

The new job is going really well and I'm really enjoying it. It's great to go back to a job that's a genuine challenge where I'm doing something different every day. For example on Friday I arranged for EAs to organize 5 desk moves, summarized 2 80 page reports in 2 pages to be presented to the CEO and CIO of our large company and started writing a training course called 'Financial Products and Markets for the Uninitiated'. Love it. The money's pretty good too.
