All you need is the free Kindle app then buy it from there, as far as I understand...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.kindle&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5hbWF6b24ua2luZGxlIl0.
Edit: You just download the app to your Tablet/Phone, log in to Amazon on the app, then you can buy the book on your PC and select the send to your Tablet/Phone option on delivery. Took a couple of minutes to download for me but I clicked the "sync and check" for items in the app menu and there it was.
The only trouble is that phone screens are too small to read books from. I managed to read one book on mine and then bought a kindle instead.0 -
I hate truffles. The smell is repellant.
There is something to do with pheremones but I cannot remember what. My mother used to use truffle oil and I could not go in her kitchen for days and days and days. Yuck.
Grated truffle is less bad stinking but still not nice IMO. I concentrate on developing my tastes for more affordable things.
Dh loves truffle.0 -
It is such a beautiful day here. The sky is bright blue and cloudless. I was up at 6.30 to get a picnic ready for Mr S to take shooting. Miss S was out before 8am to ride...then I went back to bed for a few hours and awoke to this..fantastic. It is such a beautiful day forthe year to begin with.
I've jumped into a Mercedes demo for a few hours, and actually had the roof down. It was lovely, especially with the Airscarf!
Glad to hear that other NP have had a good day, and a merry 2013 to us all, especially Pastures!

I'm not surprised. Your DH also likes cheese with maggots in. All just part of his positive attitude to embracing all of life's rich tapestry.
I've never had truffle, and am not particularly interested in trying it. I suspect I wouldn't like it, and even if I did, what would be the point of discovering that I liked something I can't afford. There are plenty of tastes that I do like that I can afford.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Oh my goodness. I think there are two bits of films that are guaranteed to make me cry. First is the bit where ET finally gets to go home. The second is the first 15 minutes of Up.
I've had truffle in the odd thing, and I can't say I'm fond of it. Chocolate truffles on the other hand...0 -
Dog dog has been playing tirelessly with the kiwi. She takes toys and shakes them to get his attention then teaches him to shake them. Today they have removed the squeezers from all their Christmas toys, so no more unsupervised squeakers, because dog dog will leave them, the k own would eat them and end up in surgery.
It's hard to snap because it's all so fast.0 -

That depends on your screen size. The galaxy note is very usable for films and books, but obviously a tablet is better for that stuff.0 -

That's how I feel about truffles. Dh once ate olive oil icecream too. It wasn't very nice but he enjoyed eating it because it was different.
He finished that pavlova today too. That was the TEN EGG pavlova on top of the yolks and two other eggs he had used for his breakfast. How he does it I don't know.0 -

The reason they use Sow's to find them, is because Truffles are supposed to smell of the males pigs private parts :rotfl:
Not a lot of people know that!
A Happy New Year to all NP.0
