Why are you avoiding the GP lir? That doesn't sound like a good idea. Sorry...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Stupidly I have missed timed uctting my prescription in and it will not be back to Monday so I won't have enough pills to get me through most likely. The pharmacy say they will try and get them on an emergency advance (I just need some for Sunday I think) if not I have to pick a night to go blind and hard of hearing on.....
I always thought "emergency advance" was pharmacy code for issuing things in advance of the prescription.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I will see him again soon, just cannot do it right now. Besides...everyone has norovirus and flu and is more pressing than me in the right now.
I don't think it's urgent, I think it's about the sleep studies they want me to do.0 -

I think so, but the gps take 48 hours to turn around a prescription (at very best) and then they have to order the stuff becuase it's not that common which means they won't get it till Monday morning, so they might be left in difficulty because they will not carry many in their stock, and they are only open (pharmacy) on Saturday morning and have no weekend deliveries.
Now they have seen the script they might order the stuff today so they have enough for me and any other patients using it both. We'll see.0 -
If it's a regular prescription, the chemist should give you enough to tide you over, then deduct that from the prescription when it comes. I would ask for it today. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

But they have no prescription, just my Repeat prescription request. That should be with them as a script on Friday or Saturday, (which is my fault, my bad timing, I should have done it on a Monday) and because it's not that common a drug it's quite likely to be a special order, or, this emergency advance of enough for a day or so. But if my doctor doesn't turn it around mpby Friday (which is likely) that's when I will run out
It's my fault, because I know it take them a while to turn around and I should have got it in to them on a Monday.
Thing is, it's getting back onto being on a regular prescription mentality. I get four weeks worth at a time, but have only three weeks where I don't have to think about them, because it takes a week really to ensure you give them time to issue the repeat.0 -

No, LIR, the chemist can give you drugs without a prescription, just enough to tide you over. Been there, tea shirt, etc....
Give them a call to check, if you don't believe me.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Ok, they didn't say that when I spoke to them. I would have hoped if that were possble they would have done rather than apologise and say that unless they had the script back they couldn't do anything til Monday. It's not that I don't believe you (it seems sensible enough to me that things should work like that) but that I don't think it is an option on the table for this circumstance, because I showed them how many I had left and explained and this was not mooted except the emergency advance thing.
Maybe it's not that company policy or something? I won't die Or anything without them for a day anyway. (well, I doubt it!). I might not hear or see something and walk into its path, rofl)0
