nope. i'm pretty sure the airline can check the electronic system and they don't let you on the plane if you haven't got one, but in any case if you arrive without a visa in australia i'm pretty sure they just put you on the first plane back. i don't think you can apply at the airport.0

Oooppsss Chewy......no advice to give as I have never travelled anywhere that needs a visa.
I'm in a grumpy mood tonight, quite down and I don't have a clue why.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

DH works for an airline so I can confirm via him that they may deny boarding if the system flags you up as not having the correct documentation. Similarly they can put you on the first plane back. As this is charged back to the airline that the denied boarding is from, they try to stop you before you get on. We don't know what the system is for each country, but that's how it works from the airline's side.
Aussie embassy in London has a contact centre for visa enquiries, can you speak to them?

ETA: it is worth asking the airline too (without giving your details of course) as they will know more about the specific visa requirements of each country. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? the % of jobsworths in australian immigration / customs is roughly 100% (slightly higher than the british rate of 95% jobsworth, 5% unable to even dress themselves in the morning).
You're way ahead of me on this kind of thing.
It would never occur to me we'd need visas for Oz. Or Canada or NZ. I'd have thought.
Even in the US you fill in a card on the plane (after I went to the bother of geting a permanent visa on one of my previous passports).:(There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

For the US you now need an ESTA. A crafty little ruse to make money for the US govt. I think we should do the same if we don't already. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I'm definitely in the toothbrush-not-in-the-line-of-fire-of-the-loo camp. But I'm also a stickler for the lid going down before it is flushed.
Particularly advisable on aircraft because they, umm, recirculate the contents. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
My avatar is my daughter aged about 3 with a snowman, but why is it so small? I uploaded a much higher res file. This tech bus is so complicated. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Your picture is 57 X 80
Vivas is 80 X 80 which is around the normal max avatar size.
Edit: This site os good for cropping and editing pictures...

57x80 is the right aspect ratio, given the dimensions of the original. It just seems tiny.
Could Martin get me more pixels? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
