I'm here. Watching reruns of Grand Designs and Casualty on the sofa in a pile with various family members and animals.

    Does the orgasm stick work?

I am watching actual gd on four now.

Does the stick work? Well, yes......it's much better than there powder blusher which I used to use.

    How is kiddo doing?

Am I the only one that is nervous of changing their broadband supplier for fear of being without broadband between suppliers or that the new service is not as good as the current one, plus the inconvenience of changing emails (and knowing I will forget to notify people?

If you are currently supplied, you won't even feel the change. Ring up your old supplier, get a MAC code, give MAC code to new chosen supplier and it's the same as a phone switch. New router arrives, wait for changeover date, change router. Everything is done automatically. If you switch mobile phone suppliers then it's almost the same. We are now with Sky as they had the best deal £100 cashback, £13 line rental, £10 broadband. The line rental increase doesn't change their good deal but it does mean I will switch when the minimum term of this is over for cashback.

Have you (or any of the other nice people) been watching Science Club (or something along those lines) which has just finished on BBC2?

It's worth a look I think. They've somehow got the balance between science and fun spot on. I think it also helps that they haven't gone for the option of getting a Top Gear presenter to front it, but Dara O'Briain - who is not only funny, but knows something about science :T

Last week they extracted DNA using pineapple and vodka, and this week they worked out the speed of light (or pretty darned close) with cheese on toast (well, looked more like bread to me but I'll let them off) and a microwave.

Got to catch up on this week but I love that show! Dara is very good and it's just factual enough not to annoy the real scientists!

Thanks peeps. Woke him up this morning and there's no way he's going anywhere except straight to the doctor this morning but Lydia, in particular, thank you, I did want to know what a teacher might think. I will email his form tutor now rather than simply let it filter through from reception.

    Hope he feels better soon!
Am I the only person about this evening? :)

Feeling here in energy levels and head space is so much more valuable than no cramps (and tbh, I have had a really good summer for my normal pains....every cloud has a silver lining!

No and hope you feel better soon. I'm waiting for the results of some tests which will be negative but I'm bored of waiting for something to be positive. Medical diagnosis is really not as good as science.

A lot of the no-shows tonight might be due to the fact that its the start of the "midweek parents evening" season at schools. Just spotted that some of the missing ones are mums and dads. expect more evenings like this if that is so.
Happy birthday CK; missed that earlier on.
Parents evening.... RUINED my 12th birthday. Dragged out, to sit in the car in the school car park ... waiting for my mum/dad to come back out and give me a right royal b0ll0cking.... and they did :)

    It's already softening :D:j

It's not just the diagnosis it's the whole bloody system. They told me in summer I would be in eyeclinic at least twelve weekly from now on. Have I heard back? Pfffft. Apparently my next appt was to be late September or October. Well, no one has written to me yet. When I agreed in a and e to go back on the lumbar puncture list I have obviously suitably !!!!ed off neurology there, because I have never heard from them either.

The go did call to get me to make an appt for the sleep study thing, and go in for bloods, but i feel better now, so I would expect my bloods to be better, so no point really, and also because I don't feel like I did it's hard to find the impetus to persue stuff, especially when results won't show what ever was going on in summer.

I am around this evening, but wasn't earlier on. I went to pick up DD from the friend she'd been to tea with, and got chatting to the friend's mum for a while. Also, I got a huge wodge of legal documents in the post today, so have been wading through some of those and feeling very glad that I don't have to read every word of all of them because I have an excellent solicitor to do that for me. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I had to give bloods this week for tests. They tried one arm - couldn't get a vein. Tried the other arm, couldn't get blood out of the vein. After 20 minutes they took it out of my wrist. I've now had a call saying that they didn't manage to get a good enough sample and I need it done all over. Pah... Blood out of a stone me. And I had to fast beforehand. Bah humbug.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I've given blood a lot of times (as a for colleagues experiments), and I generally found it flowed better if I was better hydrated (might just have been coincidence though). You can drink water whilst fasting too :)

I'm here now. Tonight was cubs trip to Aquasplash but unfortunately DD1 who hasn't been swimming since the summer was too cimmie cimmie to really enjoy it. Good news was the road had reopened although the fire was still visibly burning.

I am losing my voice :(

Momentarily got all excited when reading about LIR and her orgasm but as always these things sound better than they actually are...
    I think....

Kiddo assures me he is quite okay, aside from sounding almost exactly like Darth Vader. I worry when he's not with me and then I worry when he is, because of the racket he's making.

I don't bother with make up at work really, they notice when I do. Sometimes I do the school run before brushing my teeth. I can scrub up okay, I think but I find it hard to make the effort. I'm growing caterpillars over my eyes and have three immaculately gelled fingernails. The rest are a bit flaky and chewed.

I decided last week I was going to make an effort. I decided to start wearing red lipstick like I did when I was younger. I bought perfume, new boots with a heel, not stuffed full of sheepskin and had my hair done. It did last until Monday this week.
Now my hair looks gross as I haven't washed it since Sunday night and there are still trace elements of Mondays mascara under my eyes. :o

I will wash before work tomorrow!
