In other news, where does one go to buy a Terrarium?

Have another bit of cake, then I'll chase you round the garden for half hour to burn the cals off...

:D I've already had a little run around the park this evening. And had cake earlier today.

Think my body is going into hibernation mode where it wants to eat lots...

I'm in that the year round.

I've finished at about 13st and won't get any heavier for some reason, though :D

:o. I feel bad taking on face value what might be a misplaced sentiment. Although the sensible thing would have been to shut up and smile about it.:o. It makes us sound 'nicer' than we are. :o.

Anyway, your are coming down next month sometime, right? Help me arrange longer term temporary kitchen? See what he's been upto? And hopefully it will be the second visit we make to each other of many. :) I am keen to meet twozer dog and see doozerdog again.

Ah, it was meant far more simply than it was taken. Perhaps trusting wasn't the correct word, I didn't mean it to sound that simple, but what you said about what things should cost and expensive beautiful materials, if it helps to use a go between of the 'builder' buying and the clients who still need their tiles/ceramic stove/insert as appropriate* looking absolutely perfect, that he likes doing it. It's not a chore to him. It might alleviate that 'finishing' fixation too. If there's no rush at all then you and dh can shop at leisure and barter/batter into the ground as suits.

I know little about what happens on site because he knows I'd have my own opinion to add to the mix, which would probably be more likely to be aligned to yours, not his!

I saw a handpainted tile chimney breast today that made me think of you. Also the eau de nil colour in one of the salons in Warwick Castle. Couldn't ask anyone where they bought the paint :o

Yes, I'd love to see what's happened. He has told me I'm coming shortly, though not a date except to say soon, when the others have left. :)

I really like that colour lir. Is it a sort of light putty colour, or is that just how it is coming over on my screen.

On a different note, I don't know how I keep doing it, but I have managed to miss a whole bunch of posts in the middle of this page, again. I think when I page down sometimes my laptop jumps a couple of pages. Then people start discussing things and I think "where on earth did that come from" only to discover it was there all along. Does that happen to anyone else?

    Constantly. It's thoroughly confusing!

I was woken by the sound of a twanging spring and the greeting of a small dog that had just eaten a red ballpoint on my brand new bedding. Awake would be the word, immediately. Bbc news 24 on loop.

Back to unpacking stuff in the morning at work. I thought I was avoiding a house move for some time, then we move offices. Slightly smug at the fat that my packing and organisation was clearly better than the other two offices moving in, followed by despair that I have to filter through all their carp now, as they can't be ruthless. Polaroid cameras, 2008 diaries... It's an old children's home. For the best part of the afternoon, I put myself in what used to be a bathroom but is now a store cupboard, but then dreamt tonight that I was trying to shave my legs in a bath whilst my colleagues wandered in and out.

Chocolate is a vegetable and wine is a fruit. You're only having too much if you greatly exceed 5 a day.

Sorry to hear work is going badly. It is clear to me that your boss is an idiot and your colleagues mostly dullards. "How so?", you ask.

If your bosses had anything about them you would now be CEO/CFO. If your colleagues were up to scratch they would carry you on their shoulders while chanting your name and occasionally punching the air in 1980s teen flick fashion.

Speaking to others in my circle, I know there are a lot of people feeling like that at the moment. A combination of people not wanting to leave long term employers because of the relative insecurity that still inhabits the job market, combined with firms not having money to reward. This latter point is def the case in the public sector. I am not so much hearing the idiots point, but the first two definitely.
