Almost identical to last time...we were walking, she was playing with another dog. But they has stopped hooning around (it happened mid flight last time). They were sniffing in a congregation, all the social dogs.i think I saw her jump to the side in surpise just before she yelped.
Then she stood waiting for me, leg in the air. Other people with dogs were telling their dogs off but I assured them it was not their dogs' fault and pisked her up and popped her in the car, came home, told vet we were coming and took her in.
She is very brave and doesn't wimper at all, not once, but there is crepitus and movement, so there is a break, and a lot of swelling. She is also limited by the epweakness in the other back leg now, and is finding it hard to three legged walk the 'wrong way round' for her.
She was pleased to see the vet though, her favourite vet saw her, and the vet nurse, who she adores.
Oh poor Dog dog. I'll tell DD. She'll probably want to make her a get well card or something, but give her an extra cuddle from us anyway.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

New word for me.
I hope dog dog is ok.
My mate's dog lost a leg due to being run over (deliberately would you believe!) and ended up getting around just fine. The worst thing was the indignity of being renamed Arthur as it was now 'alf a dog.
Still it's a better fate than another mate of mine who had a dog called Effie, short for The Effing Dog.0 -
Really? I would have thought cyclists get normally degenerative knee crepitus a fair bit?
Not as much as runners though I guess.
Lydia, I am sure dog dog would appreciate a get well card from dd and I know she will love a cuddle..
Could a nice persons child become a vet please.....we could pay them and get mates rates? I miss working for a vet and getting a small discount...when I did I never had Damaged animals!!
The doors that came yesterday are going back to the workshop later. Not finished you see.
But most annoyingly, the corrugated iron roof (ahh yes, all luxuries here !) the paint is peeling like buggary. It was very expensive paint too, so once I have steeled myself (hahahah, that made me grin a litttle) I will start complaining to paint merchants I think.0 -

I don't. TBH cyclists don't get much in the way of injury generally unless they fall off at which point things can get quite nasty very quickly.0 -
Well, x ray confirms, same break, same location , even same degree of dislocation.0

I always wonder if that is why CD (with its limited sampling range) always sounds a bit flat compared to vinyl, it is not that you can hear the missing frequenies directly but that the interatcion between those trequencies and the ones you can hear is lost. Of course with digital mastering the extra frequencies are probably never there in the first place so itis only recordings from before this era that would be affected.
CD - red book standard (ie audio use) is wideband by definition.
44.1KHz sample rate gives an audio frequency flat to 22KHz. This is plenty high enough, and wouldn't be the answer to your flat interpretation.0 -

Whoosh! Straight over my head. TBH if it doesn't crackle its fine by me. I can appreciate the 3D sound system gives a more real experience and the screen quality of the big TV is a big wow (Chav alert!) but I'm hopeless of judging the quality of 2D sound.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Tbh, technical specs don't really matter.
I've spent time listening to a CD player costing £6K and a turntable costing half that.
At this sort of esoteric level, it comes down to presentation as to which you prefer. I could be happy with either, and choose records because I enjoy buying and collecting records. No other reason0 -
Oh dear, I'm very sorry to hear about dog dog. I hope it's not too expensive
I have tickets for a gig tonight, left it too late to invite friends, and I don't think I can do it alone, it's in the middle of Birmingham. I'm more scared of the journey in the dark than anything elseAlso the lady in question makes me cry when she sings so it's actually hard to invite anyone other than DH.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hmm, you will know what I mean if I say about a utility rooms worth
When she got home tonight, all she wanted was a cuddle from A, I put her down by the water bucket and she limped straight over to him. :rotfl:
Itsa till, she is worth a lot to us. We will have to see how it goes.
Not sure if dh is getting a Christmas bonus or not this year, but it would be very helpful.0
