Hi Scuff, sounds like youve made good progress on your lists.
I know what you mean about how much time can be spent on MSE, I love reading everyones diaries and it takes ages but I justify it to myself by knowing that previously I would have spent a small fortune on glossy magazines that make you feel inadequate- the time I spend on MSE is like therapy- and I hope I can support others along the way.
We need to be kinder to ourselves, youve done very well scuff, please keep posting on your diary and let us know how youre doing.

Gone on a bit of a wobble the past few days MSE wise. We had plans to Orange Wednesday cinema it as a group yesterday but these plans somehow changed to all you can eat Chinese buffet. This meant me taking £20 out of the hole in the wall, which always ends in danger!! I didn't even enjoy the food, and found myself worrying about what was in it the entire time!!! Also meant as I was out all evening nothing got done at home, but tbh I was too knackered to do anything anyway. I was a bit spendy today as well but nothing major:
Yesterday:£12.00 Chinese buffetToday (out of fiver change):£2.20 Drink£14.20 (rounded up to £15)£2.20 Postage for ebay50p has gone in change pots
£2.30 Quinoa, feta and butternut squash salad for lunch (yummy!)
£4.50
Amazing how fast £20 disappears!!!
Slowly tidying my desk. I'll also be in bed by 10 I can feel it! I'm falling asleep right now, and am definitely ready for the weekend! It's been a stressful week at work!!
GL, I am still finding magazines hard to resist, I have one (already paid for) subscription which is pacifying me for now, but it's just a crafty one so there's no feelings of longing for new stuff, which is good in many waysxx

£3.22 transferred from Paypal into OD1. We also went to Asda tonight, £29.72 spent on groceries, including 3 whole sea bass for £2 each which are now added to the stash of freezer goodies. Also got some socks to add to my Mum's Christmas present (I'm making her a pedicure based mini hamper, don't know if I mentioned before?) these were £3.50 and so so soft!!!!!
1 load of washing done and dry, desk nearly tidy just few bits of paperwork to sort, and dishwasher is humming away. Think I might start to feel better soon
Tomorrow's plans are to:
- Finish off paperwork on desk
- Wipe down surfaces in office
- Another load of washing
- Unload dishwasher
Hopefully will be NSD, & I plan to put some stuff on ebay over the weekend. Also might use clubcard rewards to go to the cinema to see Bond, will only use £6 of our points (£16.50) for both of our tickets. Will see how things pan out tomorrow though!!
Toddling off to bed now! xx
Oh, and I got a free toothbrush in the post yesterday, via signing up to the Aquafresh club :rotfl:September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -

My head is useless today, has been all week. I'll be glad when I get home tonight
I keep trying to write posts and they come out as gobbledygook! So apologies, it's been a long week!
Made a list of things I need to do this weekend. Me & OH are having some serious quality time in hte next few days, and I'm really looking forward to it! First off we're off to see Skyfall at the cinema tonight (using Tesco Clubcard points as mentioned before) which makes it technically free (£6 worth of points which I doubt we'll use, as our points are collected from mainly petrol and the electricity bill, (and the odd sandwich for my lunch if I'm feeling naughty haha) we don't shop at Tesco.) If we paid full price it would be £15.80 for the both of us!!! So I'm excited twice for tonight, Bond and MSE score!! And then tomorrow afternoon we're off to York for a little trip out on the train. This will cost £12 for my train ticket but I can spare it for an afternoon out with my lovely - these are few and far between. AND THEN it's fireworks at the local park, these are free and we live in town so no transport (other than our little legs) is needed! Sounds like the makings of a good weekend
Tomorrow morning I need to bob into town to do a few little jobs whilst OH lends his muscles moving furniture out of his friend's flat. These are:- Go sort out Halifax (This has been needed to be done for a few weeks, and I can only really do it on a Sat morning as I have to go into branch to do it!!)I also have some bits to do at home:
- FINALLY pay the £15 in 5p coins I counted up last weekend into paying off OD1
-Get the doctors to change my address to the right one
-Take cancellation letters to the gym (they're currently dated 24/09/12)
-OH starts a placement on Monday, so need to do some washing and ironing for thatOut of the town-y bits the 2 banks will definitely get sorted, not sure about the doctors or the gym, the gym is in a separate direction to the other 3 just depends how I'm doing for time, but both of those I can actually sort out any day as they're both open evenings. We also have a ventilation / air filtration system in our flat, and for some reason it's blowing air OUT instead of pulling it away, so I want to read the booklet about it and check the filters, see if there's anything I can do to sort it. The air it's blowing in is dirty AND cold, so it's not ideal :rotfl: Could also probably do to put up the thicker curtains, as the lounge is FREEEEZING atm, so will add that to the list!!
-Parsnip and Potato soup to make
-Office stuff to finish as mentioned in previous post
-General clean around
-Ventilation system filters
-Winter Curtains
- EDIT: FINISH THE BEDROOM DRAWERS!!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone else has a fun weekend planned, I'm getting tired just looking at this post!!!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Just worked out that to make the Christmas cards I plan to make, I have to stamp out 3900 Christmas trees. THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED !!!!! Time for a rethink... :rotfl:September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200

Haha you aren't missing anything, except as I live in the centre of town by the time I get to the postbox I can see the gym :rotfl: it is really a case of once I get up the 6 flights of stairs to my flat, I find it hard to muster up the energy to go back down into the cold and take the letter. Plus, I'm scared
need to MAN UP!!! I'll be honest though, the thought of posting it never even crossed my mind!!! It's me that's missing something... brain cells!!

Well I had a plan as to what I could get done in the best order etc, but after an hours journey home (after being at work an hour longer than I planned too), I've put tea on and now, quite frankly, cba! So I've parked my bum on the sofa with a cuppa until I have to get up and check tea isn't burnt or get ready for cinema. Sososo TIRED!!! Jobs will wait til tomorrow
I did realise we'll walk past the gym on way to fireworks tomorrow, so will drop letters off then!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200
