Haha seriously Fudgefund, if you had to live with me for hmmhmm 2 days you wouldn't be impressed. I've stopped taking change to work because I used to have a 3oclock meeting with the vending machine and up to 3 mars bars... I bought one of those £1 bars of dairy milk and ate 3/4 of it in the car on the way back. It's about 3 mins away...

All is well in the world now though. I'm sure my skin will thank me one day!

    She totally is...

    Or Belle de Jour...

HAHA this just made me roffle. And I don't even know what a roffle is!!!!

I wish I was a spy now, that is MUCH more interesting than reality. I did enquire about applying for MI5 a few months ago but didn't get very far hahaha....

As for Belle de Jour - anyone would take one look at my 4th-day-of-batiste-hair and run in the opposite direction!!!

I'm so impressed your MSE'ing extends to not buying chocolate! I need some of your willpower. Incredibly, I always manage to find 50p for a Double Decker.

Me too. That IS dedication Scuff. :T

I think they'd do better on amazon tbh HMH, if I thought about getting uni books I'd go to Amazon rather than ebay. I'm a bit sentimental about mine though, dunno if I could sell them (wasteful girl I am!)

Hi Dory! I was hoping I might be able to buy it in bulk from amazon / ebay, tbh I haven't got round to looking into it! I like the thought of someone sneakily stealing cafe napkins, smuggling them back into the cages haha, made me laugh. It's crazy the tinyness of the bags of bedding though, plus my skanky boy (hamster not OH!!) likes to use his beds as toilets :o so I have to change them twice a week or he gets dirty and the place starts to smell. N'aww newspapery gerbil, I've never seen a white one! (gerbils would be a no no in my house anyway, OH doesn't like tails :p)
my hamster iris used to do the same with her bedding but you can get hamster potty which she learned to use eventually, Lbatley pet products or best pets are cash and carrie for pet stuff, my hamster was albino and pretty much completely blind, he was gonna be to be put down so i adopted him had him 4 years.
  • Well lea- you got us all thinking now.....

Scuff - keep your chin up- I know exactly what you mean about scrimping for pennies when you earn a decent wage- it feels so demeaning. If its any consolation, we are all in a similar situation, and I, like you have often given up at this stage, then come back a few months later with even more debt!

We can help and motivate each other- you're all getting me through this at the moment.

We need to change our mindset I think, that's why I am trying to concentrate on simplifying my life- previously I'd try to live a similar lifestyle with meals out, holidays and spending on clothes and just try to spend less- that just meant I often felt hard done-by. I am finding it easier by reading minimalism blogs (I am not a nutter - honest!!), and really trying to simplify my life- no more trying to keep up with the Joneses.

I hope you start to feel more positive too- just read your diary again- you've done fab girl!!
