I was briefly claiming JSA and hated it! at my first meeting the advisor opened by saying.. so then, you have never worked?! I was royally peed off as I have worked since I was 16 (now 26) and only stopped working in Jan 2011 cos I had a baby and I was at uni - finished uni this summer so claimed JSA lucky for me I only signed on once!
Also because I didnt apply for two jobs they gave me as they were MILES away they told me I could have my money stopped and it could go down as refusal to seek work - despite the fact I had filled my log in and had had numerous interviews. Apparently you are expected to travel upto 90 miles each way for work!! yeah right...

Haha rant away, nothing annoys me more than their mentality, treating everyone as if they're scum, expecting the impossible, and then telling you 'hey stay on another year, you'll get £20 a fortnight more!' I knew someone who lost their benefit cos they were at an interview and missed their meeting!!!
I used to hate going in, without being snobby the people there were awful sometimes, my appointment was at 9am, and I regularly used to see a man with his kiddy in a buggy, and her socks were so dirty! Like seriously black on the bottom! 1) it's 9am, how can her feet be so dirty so early on? (obv they were dirty socks in the first place!) and 2) she couldn't have been much older than 18 months, so the only place she'd be really wandering around would be inside - how dirty are your floors?! Especially when he was trouncing round in expensive clothes and new trainers. Poor bub!
Luckily I don't have to go there anymore!!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -

OMG did you see my daughter at 9am this morning :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
She'd been dressed not 10 minutes (infact the time it took me to get the older one dressed) she'd opened the back door stepped in the dogs water bowl, along the wet grass, back in and all through the house! She was filthy. Yep I had to get her dressed all over again! :rotfl:0 -
Pahahaha HI you actually nearly made me choke on a potato! Hilarious!! She sounds amazing! How old are they both?
And the major difference between you and this guy, is the sentence 'Yep I had to get her dressed all over again'
I'm still so amused :rotfl:September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Waiting for payday in the Lea household too- except I have no idea when it is hahaha. I THINK I get paid next week for the 4 weeks I've just done, and also should get paid for 2 random days I did last month next week too. Whoopee!
I don't get paid extra for doing crayzee hours, but my work goes up and down. Its not very often I have to do 20 hour days but when they come boy do they take it out of you. And if I told you what I did, I'd have to kill you... hehe.0 -
