i hate not having my computer, with hubby being in the military we depend on it alot to communicate, when i moved house BT made an error with putting my broad band on , we were with out it for a month I swear i almost had a break down lol, looking back it is funny, but at the time i thought the world was ending. Hope it gets sorted real soon for you.

That's a brilliant idea.. I might have to 'steal that one and do my hubby a '70's' one.. with all those fab films.. grease,!! saturday night fever.. car wash.. etc.. oh yes.. I'm away!!!!!

    thundercats! He-man!.... transformers.. wonderwoman..

an 80/90's one.. some music as well.. 'hits if the 80/90's'kind of cheesy stuff lol.. knight rider.. my brother loved that!! (he's 28) .. could you ask his mum what his fave toys were as a sprog just in conversation.. or start a convo with him about YOUR fave toys and ask what his were.. oooh.. A-team.. I'm sure you could get action figures.. I know my brother had the black van! It sounds like such FUN!!!

There is loads of retro stuff on ebay cheap too! i really want the turtles on DVD for my OH but can only get NINJA turtles on DVD - which are slightly different to his fave HERO turtles!

Will you keep me posted on how your vintage hamper is doing??

Just thought of another one for me... Jurassic Park - he loves it and doesnt have it on DVD! ... 80s and 90s music - will have to get MC Hammer and Will Smith on CD!! i'll try and see if you can get the Fresh Prince of Belair on dvd - thats true 90s kid retro!!

My local poundland had some camping stuff in at the weekend. Wind up torches etc, and guess how much they were?! Only a pound!!!!:rotfl:

Millets have a sale on for camping stuff. Also for festivals cleansing wipes etc are really useful! They also do deodorant wipes etc (sure they wont be offended!) maybe instead of a box or basket you could put it in a rucksack?

  • Not sure if anyone is planning to do a gardening style hamper basket. I myself am working on two one joint fr mum n dad and one for FIL...... was just in tesco this evening and they had tonnes of thier gardening stuff all reduced to sill prices
    to name a few

3 piece indoor trowel set for small potted plants 6p
    potting gift set 6p
    hand rakes 6p
five piece trowel tool kit in storage box 31p
    wellie bags 21p
    kids gardening sets 41p
character water feeders the ceramic type only saw tigger but they were 21p
    tool belts 21p
    garden twine 6p
    knee pads 6p
various plant pots ranging from 21p to 45p

erm thats all i can think of for now but if i remember anything else i will edit

    strabws x

This sounds like a great basket/hamper! And isn't it scary to think that things can be sold for 6p and still yield a profit for Tesco, this is why I am sooooooooooo picky and hardly ever buy anything unless its reduced. Hence, today in Primark 2 gorgeous tops (one which I swear is a copy of a Monsoon one) 50p each!

ohh maybe these for your sil http://www.p-mate.org/ (her hubby can do it the real way!)

I buy them at T in the Park every year and keep some to take to the Leeds festival as I have never seen them on sale anywhere else. They basically let girls pee standing up, which means they don't need to go inside portaloos which will make your sil LOVE you forever!
