Not given connecting rooms

Our son (2) has his own room at home, but if we stay in a hotel he sleeps with us (often in the same bed). Yes, it means lights off at 9:30pm for all of us. Once he's asleep we can put lights/tv on or whatever, but there is an element of disruption for all. And that's without a 4-5 hour time difference. If the OP is only going for a week I doubt very much that they are going to have blissful romantic evenings together with 3 small children!!
With one or two other children it is not too bad and can easily be managed. With 3 children the logistical issues are far greater. Hotels will often have restrictions on the maximum number of occupants (as in the OP's situation) so connecting rooms are the only solution.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Yes, I get that. But I can't see the children easily adjusting to the time difference within the first couple of days, especially after a long flight. If they normally go to bed at 7pm sharp they're not likely to be ready until 11pm the first couple of nights, and you can't really alter that over the space of a week - and then multiply that by 3 children. So mum is worried that they won't get time with dad, but that's unlikely anyway because of the location and duration of holiday. So maybe one parent in each room will happen for that reason, not because of the travel agent's blunder IYSWIM.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Personally i think my kids will adjust quite well
Get them knackered through day.... beach, food, pool, more beach
swimming... they will go straight to bed.... Just the mornings
my lot get up at 5/6am anyway... which im not at all bothered about.
Regardless of sleep... Ive still been missold something.. and now
im paying for something totally different....
where before i was in for connecting rooms,,, Kids bed ... sleep hubby
all kids come blundering in at 5am like norm
now were seperated... in 2 rooms either down hall or even a different floor... not together... me with kids and hubby alone
surely this isnt right?Comping & Coupons!0 -

I do agree with you - just trying to keep your expectations reasonable!! A 4 hour time delay is a lot for a child - especially a young one. Plus strange rooms/beds etc.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Yes with you both, one of you is not left on your own!
The Op is not asking for blistful romantic evenings,- just to be with her husband.0 -
OP, I really don't think you have to justify yourself to anyone.
Bottom line is you were promised something by a TA that has not been done as requested (not that that surprises me in the least!)
I hope you get it sorted - at least it came to your attention before you travelled so you have plenty of time to get what I hope is a suitable resolution to your complaint.0 -

Yes thank you... I have heard from the TA today and they are
waiting for the resort booking office to be open later today.
To see what can be done...
Fingers crossed

Actually the time difference will mean they will be ready for bed early , and then be awake very early in the morning .........not just the kids !
But this has no bearing on what they were sold as a holidayVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
Some truly bizarre postings on this thread.
That some people would consider it acceptable that the OP leaves her 3 young children in a seperate room with a communal corridor seperating them is very odd.
OP - I would be as angry as you, were I in your position. Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction.0
