watching it now
these people are barking
stupid woman with the cloth toilet paper
and i quote
as a middle class family with a decent income, we shouldnt need to get into debt to buy toilet paper
we save $20 per month so thats $240 a year
middle class/decent income but cant afford toilet paper?
the man was just embarrassing
he picked up rice outside churches that had weddings, including his own on his wedding day:eek::eek:
what drivel it is0 -
and as for stapling a different greeting inside a used card and crossing the previous senders name out- if you cant spend a dollar /pound on a card for your 25th wedding anniversary then don't send one at all.0

Some of this is on u tube. Frankly, it makes me feel sick! Food might be dated today, but if it's sat in a bin in hot weather, then it's OFF! And I do eat food that is past best before date but his is just crazy!0

I watched this, more to see if I could pick up any tips, but I don't think I'll bother taking any on board soon.
The guy who recited poetry in the middle of the shop just to get a 65 cent doughnut free was crazy. You could see that the people in the queue behind were thinking, hurry up I'm hungry, which is pretty much what they said on camera afterwards. I mean it seemed nice but I'm not sure I'd be happy if someone did it whilst I was queuing.
I'm with you midnight, the family over the toilet paper was gross. Hats off that they cleared 89k of debt in a year but that just seemed crazy. I saw the bucket for the used towels .... how long does that sit there. I couldn't get that she wasn't bothered at washing a machine loady of poopy towels.
The man who ate the goats head, I liked the idea of the fiscal fast that he goes on 4/5 times a year whereby he and his wife don't spend any money that week but have to live off whats in their cupboards. That didn't seem so bad. What did seem crazy was him going on a bike ride with his retractable tape measure to check phone boxes for coins in the slot and then using the tape measure to get in the cracks in the pavement for loose coins that had fell down there. THen again, when he went to the diner and was going along every booth putting his hands down the back and saying he was doing it discreetly was nuts.
The final chuckle was the skip diving man who wandered into a shop and asked for ketchup sachets. He asked for as many as they could give and then wandered out of the shop, not having made any other purchase! He got home, snipped the end off and squeezed into his bottle and reckoned he saved up to $70 a year. He must eat a lot of ketchup. I think I wouldnt have minded so much if he had bought something else at the shop!!!!!
Crazy crazy programmeI got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0 -

When the man was taking leftovers in the restaurant I was cringeing, amazed his wife has put up with it for 25 years.
As for the guy riding around town all day for 7 dollars worth of change, he'd get more money for his time getting a job. Although I did think he made a good point about keeping their standard of living at a constant level and not buying new gadgets. Wouldn't do it to the degree they do but don't need as many gadgets as I do.0 -
