I have a different experience.
Out of all the people we have seen stuck in the one near to us only one has been a woman.
The last one was a man in a very expensive car.
I do love it though that so many people did stop to try to help, it restores my faith in human nature to a degree.0 -

Got stuck in major floods 3 years ago driving a Berlingo van and had a cute chap who insisted on following me through 'in case I broke down' in his ikle car..
an I managed it all on my own while he drove in the bow wave very close to my bumper.
My hair was ruined that night :eek:
