I'm only going by the post in this thread. I guess I'm thicker skinned than a lot of people!Really? Most of his posts are sarcasm city.0 -
.. and you've a couple of thousand posts under your belt so are probably better equipped to deal with the cut and thrust of this board."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

We're straying from the original topic however, I've been a newbie on many a forum, some a lot harsher than this one. In fact one of the first forums I ever frequented was renowned for bullying by the mods and regulars but it never particularly bothered me. I think people need to realise that forums that are populated by thousands of people that you don't know are likely to be place where you occasionally come across someone who is not very nice... and you've a couple of thousand posts under your belt so are probably better equipped to deal with the cut and thrust of this board.0 -
This is a forum designed for people to join and ask for help. Most aren't."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Believe it or not so was the one I mentioned in my previous post!! It was a very specialised subject so there was very little choice. This is a forum designed for people to join and ask for help. Most aren't.
I do see your point but sadly its unrealistic to expect any forum experience to be 100% pleasant 100% of the time.0 -
My application for a Santander 123 credit card has just been rejected as I "didn't meet their minimum requirements".
This is despite the web site stating "acceptance guaranteed subject to routine fraud and anti-money laundering checks".
I suspect I've been rejected becasuee I always pay my credit cards balances and have never generated any interest payments.
Has anyone else had the same experience?
I managed open current account with stander two weeks applied through internet and never asked to me to send me any documentation and also got the good OD as well.0 -
Are you on the Electoral Roll? If not, you'd probably fail the online identity check which could well come under "fraud and anti money-laundering". If you are, I'd get a copy of your credit report and make sure there's nothing nasty on there!Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

Except your first reply to the OP.
I'll shut up. I've made my point. Perversely, if I had a question about credit cards, you would be one of the people whose reply I would most respect. Shame your method of delivery is more often than not delivered with a verbal smack in the face."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
