in Credit cards
My application for a Santander 123 credit card has just been rejected as I "didn't meet their minimum requirements".

This is despite the web site stating "acceptance guaranteed subject to routine fraud and anti-money laundering checks".

I suspect I've been rejected becasuee I always pay my credit cards balances and have never generated any interest payments.

Has anyone else had the same experience?

    I would be more concerned about why you failed the 'routine fraud and anti-money laundering checks' if I was you!

    I've already requested clarification on the fraud and money laundering.

    They won't tell you anything. You need to purchase your own credit report for starters.

    I'd side with Bugsy and agree that this is probably NOT the reason you have been rejected. They'll make money regardless of this as long as you make purchases using the card.

    I guessed that although I couldn't see how his reply to the OP of this thread was particularly offensive.
