Yeah thats what they said but I'll be charged for the flatbed, surely that can't be right0

Also, if they do try and say they want to charge me for repairs, should I ask them to send the invoice through to me before I pay any extra charges? Thats what I'd do if I took it to a garage so why not?0

I VT'd my previous car and when it was picked up I was told it did not need to be taxed. The man drove it away with trade plates on, I assume you can drive a car untaxed this way.Current MFD 1st July 2026
Target MFD 1st April 20230 -

Yes you can. They're just being awkward.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -
Ok, so this is what the termination section says
"7.1 You can terminate this agreement as described in the notice headed "Termination: your rights" shown in the key information section on the front page of this agreement. You must return the goods to us at your own expense in good repair and condition (other than fair wear and tear) together with everything supplied with the goods (including the servicing book) and the registration document and any MOT certificates.
7.2 If you require us to collect the goods from you we may make a charge not exceeding £70 as a contribution to our collection costs. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods you will have to pay our costs of repairing or refurbishing the goods"
So first, my reading of the above there is no mention of servicing or the vehicle been taxed. Plus if the vehicle needs to collected by a pick up, the maximum I can pay is £70. Correct?
Now... contradicting to the above Armstrong recovery have finally sent me a letter today stating "if the vehicle needs to be recovered on a vehicle you will be liable for this cost" this is not what my contract states??? so where do I stand on this?
Second, they state that reconditioning fees applicable will be chargable on collection, what about if I disagree with his opinion?
Sorry for the long message, just need to clarify these small points0 -
Sorry to bring this thread back up again, but I'm now having problems with Santander,
Basically they are saying that 3 wheels were scuffed, which arent and I have proof of, and they want 135 pound to recondition them, I have refused to pay this until they give me their photo graphic evidence of these none existent scuffs but they are now refusing to send these stating
"The Forwarding of any photographic evidence would not be necessary, as your acceptance of the damage to the vehicle had been given by the signing of the vehicle inspection report and the cost matrix"
I really dont know where to go from here, they basically are taking the wee and want money for nothing and are completely ignoring my demands.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Any help would be much appreciated

Ask them to point out to you where in your signed agreement it states that the car must be in pristine condition if it is handed back. If they cannot do that, then tell them to go away and stop annoying you."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

There pointing me to the fair wear and tear section which is a load of crap, my argument is the car is well above standard for an 8 year old car, I tried to post a picture of the wheels on here but it wont let me,
If you saw them you would think they were off a new car, it's ridiculous,
I've just gone back to them and stated that I'm willing to go to court over this I'm not giving in to them0
