Me me me!!:beer: I'm on bacardi and coke, well the lemsip didn't work, so kill or cure I say!!
By the way, does anyone know if the till spit for 'bottle of spirits for £14' pops out every time you but a bottle? I used one today, but because my transaction was recalled at cs, no till spit.Gwrys yn Kernow! :j0 -
Evening all,
Had a strange experience in T's this afternoon. Just doing a 'normal' shop, I handed over two coupons, and then my debit card. SA said to me (rather loudly!), 'this card has been declined, do you have another way of paying?' I told her I knew there was money in my account and asked her to try again.:o
Same story, it's declined. There was a huge queue behind me, I really wanted to ground to open up! I asked her to suspend the transaction whilst I went outside to the cashpoint. DH now has me very worried, saying 'I hope your card hasn't been cloned and someone's cleaned out your account!':eek::eek: *palpitations*.
A massive queue at the cashpoint, but I eventually got there and all was in order, drew the cash out and went back to cs.... to a queue of about 30 people who have all had the same problem! CS said it's a problem with Lloyds and Halifax, not their system.
Then to T's garage to get petrol, (with cash!) Hundreds of prisoners there too because of declined cards, they wouldn't let them leave! Half way home and I realise my coupons hadn't been applied to the recalled transaction! Back we go again! All sorted in the end. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:cousinjack wrote: »I wonder if a similar problem was happeningin other supermarkets or whether it was just Mr T, all the plava made me late for pre- school pick up:o
glad you got it sorted in the end xxT's cs told me they had spoken to the bank and they had said they had a glitch in their system, but they had an awful lot of angry customers to deal with so I guess it was easy to blame the banks! I phoned my dad to warn him to get cash out if he was shopping but he said he'd just been to Aldi and they'd had no problems at all. (He's with Halifax too.) So it's just T's as far as I know.
I think Tosco told me porkies!!:eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
definately a problem with the bank, i'm with bank of scotland and tried to use cashline today at 2.30 but machine said couldn't carry out transaction so went to go in the bank but they had there doors closed and locked and a sign outside saying they had system problems, was in a panic for a bit, checking the banks website and no info there but tried cashline about an hour later and all was ok:)mmm..... these strawberries make my breath happy mum ds
On a strand of pure silver, I'll welcome each day

I've just had a quick flick through the grabbit forum. Without wishing in any way to be rude to other posters, or detract from their generosity of spirit in wishing to share their finds, I'm sure I can't be the only one nowadays who's sometimes astonished by what other people consider a bargain. It's the same as when I'm standing in the queue in S or T's, and the people in front of me are happily handing over £150+ for a trolley of nothing particularly special. The Elite are definitely the hardcore section of MSE. If we ever do a flashmob, bags I organise the choir, and bags we sing this (much more suitable for us than whoever Gareth Malone has got singing it at the minute)

Wombled a dog on my way home from work this morning
It followed me when i had crossed main road.
When i got in a safe spot away from main road i called it to me and it came had collar on and address.was a scruffy thin wet looking thing.
Phoned number and owner answered dog had been missing think she said 4 days was in hysterics it had travelled from near Halifax she asked if i could hold onto Noodles til she got dressed and down. :j
She picked it up 20 mins ago i had fed and given him a drink and had him locked in kitchen. He was good sat there shivering all time. My Poppy wasnt very happy didnt let them meet.
Got offered a fiver but i refused was just happy Noodles found his mummy. Poor woman looked like she had been crying on way down and Noodles nearly jumped in her arms wagging his tail. :T :j0 -
