    Evening all,

Had a strange experience in T's this afternoon. Just doing a 'normal' shop, I handed over two coupons, and then my debit card. SA said to me (rather loudly!), 'this card has been declined, do you have another way of paying?' I told her I knew there was money in my account and asked her to try again. :o:o

Same story, it's declined. There was a huge queue behind me, I really wanted to ground to open up! I asked her to suspend the transaction whilst I went outside to the cashpoint. DH now has me very worried, saying 'I hope your card hasn't been cloned and someone's cleaned out your account!':eek::eek: *palpitations*.

A massive queue at the cashpoint, but I eventually got there and all was in order, drew the cash out and went back to cs.... to a queue of about 30 people who have all had the same problem! CS said it's a problem with Lloyds and Halifax, not their system.

Then to T's garage to get petrol, (with cash!) Hundreds of prisoners there too because of declined cards, they wouldn't let them leave! Half way home and I realise my coupons hadn't been applied to the recalled transaction! Back we go again! All sorted in the end. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The same thing happened in PZ this afternoon for one poor lady in front of me:(
Nice one :D I got 2 packs of chrome at sada this evening, went through @ £1.24, hth
What did the SEL say ?
  • Evening all :) hope your all well :)

How much did you spend? I assume if I bought andrex £2 + kleenex and used the coupon on SS it would ask for SA?

or should I buy lots of things then add the above two to my basket and scan it and then I should not get any problems.

Spent about £30, used a few mocs to bring down to £5, including 3x £2.99 Kleenex then I realised I had forgot to buy the Kleenex and they had scanned anyway

OK - I just performed the following: Purchased 2 x 4pk Andrex Gorgeous Comfort, with a couple of other bits of shopping. Through SS till, received two till spits for shine sheets.
Store doesn't stock these, so I got two packs of Facial wipes instead. These on SEL @ £1.49, each till spit worth £2.99, so I added another pack of the loo roll and some milk and pasta shapes.
Through SS till, received a further THREE till spits (one for each wipes and one for the loo roll) and nothing to pay. Went back and got three packs of the wipes and two more packs of loo roll.
Through the till, nothing to pay. Till spat out another FIVE till spits, one for each wipes, one of each loo roll.
Store was closing so have brought my five spits home - tomorrows another day and will be getting another six packs of wipes and three packs of loo rolls, with nothing to pay and a further NINE till spits by my reckoning.... And breathe!

So - I have five packs of loo roll and five packs of facial wipes, and five more till spits - for an initial outlay of £4. :T

    very jealous! :D I'm getting my !!! into mr T tomorrow morning:o

Unfortunately my hotel (Maida Vale Marriott) rarely comes up on any of the bargain websites and is never on Last Minute's secret hotels but thank you, unfortunately my taste is of the expensive kind :( I hate to stay in London in a hotel without a fridge and decent air-con :o

    I love the Leicester Marriott

    Evening!

Well Percy was going to make a return but he's not feeling well at all tonight.
I got home and he was fast asleep so I left him to it and was cleaning in the kitchen. I heard this horrible howling noise, like when he sees another cat he doesn't like so I ran in to the living room, he was still howling but was hunched over and then he was sick :(

Poor little man was definitely not feeling good so I gave him a little brush, which he loves and then we had a cuddle - and he told me off for taking a pic when he wasn't feeling his best! :o

Aww bless him hopes he's feeling better soon :)
