Parked near a uni... drunken students?

Someone has more than likely kicked your door in 'because it's funny'

Can't see the pics but have a chat with a local garage (that doesn't do bodywork themselves) and see if they can recommend a dent man to fix it up.

An uninsured driver recently clipped the side of our second car a few months back and drove off.

Problem for her though was that she was seen, I looked into her car -- uninsured. Let the local busybodies know and a couple of days later the car was towed away.

Moral of the story -- don't bump the car of a vindictive !!!!!! :D

thats a nasty dent and being where it is is obviously done intentionally
i guess some youth with some kind of baseball bat has done it because he could
im fairly certain that wont come out because its gone in too far and stretched it

    nasty
    real nasty
i would put it down to pure jealousy

A few years ago, I bought a brand new car, collected it from the dealer and had to drive it to the garda station to get some paperwork to allow me to drive home. While I was in the station, some prat on a bicycle cycled alongside my car and leaned his unplugged handlebar against the driver door to balance himself while he had a good gander inside the lovely new car.
He left a mark very similar to yours. I wouldn't be surprised to find that's what happened to your car.

I actually never got mine repaired, because the dent popped out before the day was over, and the crease left a faint line which I'd forgotten about.

You could always try the hairdryer/compressed air trick to get it to pop out and take it from there.
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

The one thing that annoys me more than most is people (well scum) who vandalise cars. I think its either jealousy or just done for fun.

Me and OH had this done to our new 12 reg Polo 2 weeks after collecting it:

We had to put it through our insurance as we wanted it fixed by a reputable company seeing as it was brand new - they did a good job but it doesn't look 'quite' the same.

the ops car, that looks like a really sharp crease in the centre, no way a rounded baseball bat, more like a lump hammer/metal bar and its out of reach of any accident. The crease looks so sharp that it would be very week if they tried to bash the dent out. I really think its going to take a new door to fix it.
  • well i have been trying to ring a mobile dent man and have been getting no answer. so i dropped into a body shop my mate used recently that he was full of praise for. And they say about 100quid and they can do it this week. so think i am going to go with them. its a lot less than i first expected, although i know may be more than a mobile dent guy, but the figures aren't worlds apart. still annoying to be 100 down though just to put me in exactly the same position as yesterday! Sorry, i probably didn't make it clear. she is staying in a big complex kind of student accommodation. its quite an industrial area, so no private houses close by, just a few pubs and shops etc. its right next to Bramall lane in Sheffield if anyone knows the area.
