    LW - try this site.

Hi everyone been to B&M & L!dl today, got plenty of veg, so just preparing them all, so I can freeze and use as needed, already had 2 packs of carrots from the Ald! Super 6 ;)Gammon joint in the SC for tea, just had to come out of the way while DH washed the kitchen floor, he had already done the bathroom and ensuite. :( While he has nothing to do with any paperwork, PC or admin, and rarely cooks, all the outside jobs, hoovering dusting, and other cleaning are his.;)

Pouring with rain here now, need to do the bedding, but waiting until it is dryer, tomorrow is looking more hopeful.

Hugs as needed, take care all. DG

Thanks Elona, DG and everyone else. DG I've bookmarked the site.;) Not too bad, then - I don't eat seafood/fish, so mussels/oysters et al are out, but I do use a lot of sesame seeds, sundried toms and dried apricots in any case; and though I hate brassicas, I like watercress (go figure):D although Mr LW doesn't care for it, so I'll probably just have to have that if we go out.

I like dark choc, too (greatly prefer it to milk choc) but never buy it as I think of it as a "luxury" item, and therefore not something I can buy for myself.:o

It's all "food for thought" (pun totally intended) for the upcoming meal plan.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Lambs lettuce is supposedly good too. Of course the downside to all this wholesome food is that it a bit windy:o
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Sorry to hear of all the annoying OHs, sometimes glad I'm on my own!

LW - If you like watercress how about making soup out of it?

Poorly household here, DS2 is back in Edinburgh but seems to have left his flu here. I felt sick this morning and only got to 9.30 and had to come home before I disgraced myself. Have spent the whole day on the sofa reading and dozing.

DD not feeling great either but I think she may be tired out.

    Take care. XX

Good evening everyone I just got in from Dds and checked my answerphone and my lovely big brother who lives in France left me a cheery message to say the he is at long last in remission from his Leukaemia:j:j:jI am so pleased as its been a worry as at 71 with a heart valve replacement and not being in the best of health over the past year I am chuffed to bits for him.He is such a fighter bless him. When he was born (in the middle of the Blitz in the eastend) he was the smaller one of twins and the Dr said he wouldn't last the night and literally put him to one side to concentrate on the bigger one who sadly didn't make it .Davy weighed in at 1lb 13 ozs and slept in a small chest drawer until he was big enough to go into a proper cradle. He was the length of my Dad's hand and my Mum was determined he would survive.A real tough little chap who wouldn't give in,if there was anything dangerous to do he would do it and seemed to have no fear of anything .I am absolutely thrilled to bits, and just spoke to him just now on the phone and he too is as pleased as punch.I just had to share the good news with someone. My two Dds have been on the phone to him as well as they both adore their daft Uncle Davy who is always laughing and joking with them.
Its been an awful damp day and I went to knitting this morning and had a good knit'n'natter.Nsd though as I'm hanging on to my pennies at the moment .
The weather has got really chilly tonight so the heating is going on in a minute for an hour .I've got a bit of a sniffly nose so that will get dosed up before bedtime as well.
Elons reading through the posts I remembered I have some liver in the fridge so I think a nice liver and bacon casserole may be on the cards this week at some point. My late OH used to cook lambs kidneys very slowly in a saucepan with some thick oxo/bisto gravy and loved them on thick slices of buttered toasted bread.Real comfort food for when the cold weather sets in
Right I'm off to have some dinner and put my feet up,I may even have a wee toast to my dear Davy's good news with a G&T:j

    evening all
busy day at work fed 80 children:eek:
just used my tesco clubcard vouchers to buy myself two magazine subscriptions. yes i was saving them for christmas - yes they would have been better spent on the children....but ive blown them. lol
made some lovely biscuits for when the children got in from school today and had chicken in white wine and mash for tea. real comfort food. were all in our pjs now with the littlist in bed. peace and quiet. still trying hard to keep out of the supermarkets and just go once a week. sold some stuff on ebay last week so had a £6 discount voucher and a twenty pound note to pay off my shopping this week and the rest went on my card. made a big difference. have put a couple more bits on ebay to see if i can do it again.
nice spag bol for tea tomorrow so have got that out.
my electric bill has shot up because when i first broke my arm i couldnt get the washing on the line and still find it really hard so have been using the tumble dryer. so now the heating is on - just got it on really low - i will start using the airer again.
had a lovely weekend - went to the cinema. was lovely to do that havenet been for ages and ages.

    happy monday evening people
    xxxxx
