  • I forgot to say I also managed a UU this morning - Clinique moisture surge. It was one of those generous samples you get as a gift with purchase, WBA but not now - in the colder weather my face can take something richer as an overnight treat and I have some facial oils to use up.

I'm not going to post my list again... it doesn't make for good reading! I had a lovely facial and hand treatment on Friday which was fab and I used up my beauty salon vouchers. I'm counting it as a UU!

Starting total for October: 103 items

October Goal: Get below 100 items
Long-term goals: Zip up nail varnish bag and UU 5 make-up items to buy a Benefit Powderflage HG!
    MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.

I don't have as big a stash as you ladies seem to, but I definitely have enough items to get me through this month, perhaps even November. It's ridiculous how many times I buy nail varnish...then get home and realise how many colours I have and hardly seem to use!
My current Vichy foundation is spluttering, but I have a Rimmel one I've hardly used. Despite being the lightest shade they did, it looks orange on my extremely pale skin. Anyone have any tips for how I can use it up, whilst not looking like I've been tangoed? :D

Off to a good start with a UU - Tesco B Natural Skin Brightening Cleanser - ok but a bit gloopy and didn't deal well at all with mascara, tended to just coat my lashes instead. Nothing obvious on the skin brightening front either. Not sure that they still do it but not raving about it anyway - WNBA. Plenty to stash shop from for a replacement!

Anyone know of any good magazine 'freebies' coming up? Feeling the need for a very cheap shopping fix :D First day back to work after hols today, it was fine, better than I could have wished but still, back to reality!

Im very much the same with foundation of any sort and my skin is so fussy about the stuff too, so ive mixed my rimmel foundation with my normal daily moisturiser its made it more the consistancy of BB cream and its now my shade !:p

Berlin there.... and Nein, Nein...... on the way, so perhaps I will not need Take a Bow! I just cannot resist taupe/grey/muddy shades. Have a Herring problem IRL?

    Good luck for tomorrow.:)

I'm with you on the addiction to taupe/muddy colours. When I bought Berlin There Emma exclaimed that I already have too many of that colour. You will be surprised by nein Nein as in daylight it looks dark green. Is lovely colour.

    Happy birthday wishes to indiepanda.

My first day at work was good. Felt very weird though to go from working in a huge open plan office containing about 80 people to a small office on my own in an office that only has 8 people. Only received 3 emails all day whereas in my last job I would get upwards of 30! It's funny how different atmorspheres take some adjusting to.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
