still no BB box yet:(but did get a £50 cheque today for doing surveys so will buy myself a teat from molton Brown next week using the £10 Marie claer voucher as well and probably something from benefit when I have my make over:)...am loving the primer that was a mag freebie earlier this year.Expensive at circa £21 but I did get a mascara off them with a mag coupon and am having the makeover on a day when am going to a dance so hopefully will get a glam look and maybe even some more freebies....will let you know next week!
the Barrym nail polish i did a pedi with last week is still looking good:)
  • Frustrated with my distinct lack of make-up UUs since starting this challenge two years ago... I'm now caking on everything I want to get rid of! No not really. I just thought if I added two more items to my daily make-up routine that sooner or later something will run out! Today I'm wearing liquid eyeliner over my usual eye shadow and red lipstick under my usual gloss.

Unlike those above... I regularly run out of shower gel and have to buy a new one. In fact most of my UUs have needed replacing as they are essentials!

I know what you mean, I've used up a couple of eye shadows and I've hit pan on a few more but I can't seem to use up blush or lip products! I never seem to be able to even make a dent in them!

Can't remember who was having a problem with mascara but my thoughts on the subject of avoiding them drying out quickly is not to pump the wand in and out as each time you do air is pushed in and dries up the product. Open and apply to one eye then put the wand back in once only then do the other eye.

It was me! :) Maybe that's the problem...I don't pump the wand as such, but I probably put the wand in and out about 8 times each time I'm using it :o

  • evilsquid - If the eyeliner is old, then definitely chuck them, but if you encounter this issue with a new eyeliner, try using a hair dryer on it for a few seconds just to soften it up and apply then, you will find that it helps with softening the formula making it easier to apply. I did this once with a beloved chanel eyeliner which was a pain to apply but was my dream colour x

Day #2 at home with the cold, still don't have the energy to clean through my stash but at least I managed to get a UU up this week other than the bourjois NP remover (which I loved).

LUSH - Dorothy Bubble bar - given to me by an awesome friend as she knows I love bubble bars. This was great and would definitely grab myself another one. I love bubble bars so much :) they are fun, effective, and a little bit goes a long way.

  • Thanks guys. I'm going to make a proper effort tonight to get started on this. Husband is out playing football, watching football and probably propping up a bar so I'm gonna have me plenty of time to take stock. Looking forward to it :) Oh, the delay was I couldn't find my way back here since the other day. I need a map! lol

Liz Earle C & P - First time I've ever tried this (?!) - must admit I thought can it really be that good..... But it is!! Amazing, definite HG for me and won't be buying anything else once the stash of cleansers and makeup removers is worked through. Left my skin feeling super clean and refreshed, magic the way makeup, including mascara, just melts off! I know I'm preaching to the converted here, suffice to say its well deserving of its cult status and the price isn't too hefty either so very impressed all round. Would be interested to know what others found to be the most MSE way of stocking up on this? John Lewis seems a good bet with free delivery.

Just to echo what others have said - buy direct from LE when there is a free p&p offer - you always get something extra - I got a kit with 50ml c&p, IBST and a moisturiser in my last order.:D
Ok, deep breath. I'm going to join in on this challenge.

    Welcome :hello:
i have a dilemma, some of my eyeliners are so old, despite daily sharpening, its an actual battle to get them to even draw a line on my eyelid, and i mean a pulling/digging in kind of battle. part of me is saying if they are this bad, they are dried up beyond use, nothing will work and i should just bin them as i find them like this and move on. but the :money: part of me is saying i bought them, i left them and i should bl**dy well put up with them and let it be a lesson to me next time not to over buy what will clearly go off. what would you all do?

I would bin them - even though that goes against my Northern roots as I do like to get the last drop/use out of everything but your eye area is so delicate I wouldn't drag the pencil over it. I chucked a lip liner recently as it had gone hard - it took some doing as I am not one to throw things away but even I had to admit defeat with it.
  • Forgot to say - welcome back Willowbee.

Here are my INs this month - from my Amarya box and also from my lovely Pumpkin swap buddie:

One UU in the shower this morn - S & G Clean on Me - nice in a small 75ml bottle like this but don't think I could cope with another 500ml with the very MSE pump, last forever as many of you will know!!! WBA (in a small size!) Doing well so far this month on the no spending front but it really is a case of needs must!

thank you everyone - i've binned my first eyeliner! was a Dior one i got with an xmas palette a while ago. was just useless! sadly my Neals Yard one looks like its going to be the same :(

also binned a figs and rouge balm, this went really odd and almost waxy like. i think i have another one somewhere - will have to dig it out and see if this has gone the same way!

    UU:
Dr Haushka toner, milk cleanser, cleansing cream, Day Cream, Rose day cream, Quince Day cream. WBA for all of it tbh - my skin seemed to like them.
clarins bronze eyeliner - was excellent, years old :o but still worked brilliantly. great staying power too! WBA.
    Origins Ginzing - HG
smashbox mini powder - WBA but tbh, no different to other powder's i've tried. onto a deluxe size i got of this in summer now.
bare minerals eye primer normal - new HG. this stuff is brill. keeps eye make up in place and i've even woke up after a long night with my eyeshadow still intact! (dont judge me! it was a one off and I was v surprised the eye make up survived!)
REN exfoliator - WBNA, i prefer the Liz Earle
REN day cream and night cream minis - WNBA there have now broken me out :(

    and.... drumroll....a perfume UU!

Valentino Rock and Rose - WBA.

also, GA a Jouer lipstick to my mum. i wasn't using it and she will.
