For occasional use of google navigation and with wifi at home 500Mb will suffice. Just keep an eye on your data usage first month(s) and you'll see..... Most of the time i've had to use the TomTom on my iPhone it's been last minute sort of thing. For a standalone unit to work, i'd have to keep it in my car, which i'd rather not do, but then leaving it at home would be no good either.
When i was looking into what i could get on Android - the general view seemed to be Google's navigation program, but then i found this used your data. Any package i buy into will have 500mb of data, no more or less.0 -
Ah i thought it was after a bit of googling.
Seems the game i am looking at can be sorted for the SGS2, but not the SGS3 at the moment. Shame.
Looks like TomTom is being released for Android Oct 2012, which would be another £50 spent no doubt.
What game is it? The S2 (if updated) and the S3 are pretty much running the same software at the minute as far as apps are concerned. Everything I had on my S2 works on the S3 in regards to games. Even worms which isn't supported for jelly bean yet works on my S3 despite it saying it was available.
As I said for navigation you can download areas of the map for offline viewing so you do note need to use data for navigation if you know the rough area you are travelling to download the map before setting off and save your local area so you always have it in the phone.0 -
I use navfree on my S3, and even used the US version when i was in the States last month for 3 weeks. It works great, and is free, and doesnt need internet connection as the maps are installed on the phone, so only the phones gps is required. Id never pay £50 for a satnav app!Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

Thanks jen. Sounds like it's worth a read up.

Doesn't matter whether it's the standard SF4 or the SF4 Volt, as i have both on my iPhone 3GS.
I've got a few other games i play now & then, but when i'm on my breaks in my car at work, i do my 'rounds' - check emails, check facebook, check bbc news app, eat/drink whatever i'm eating/drinking & then just play the game.
I've seen on YouTube people getting it to work on their SGS2, but when i've searched for it on a SGS3 all i've seen is frustrated people or people claiming to have it working, but not showing it or explaining how they did it. Anyone can claim anything on the net - i won the jackpot on yesterdays lotto for example.
If it was something i only used occasionally then i wouldn't be so bothered, but i use it to pass the time quite a lot.0
