My logic might seem a bit odd - but I have to pay £175 to the ex / £80 to the overdraft in Novermber..... So if I didn't pay them I could pay the bike insurance straight up and knock everything back a month but I don't want to abuse my ex's good nature or my bank ( who are very helpful ) at all...
So a 0% interest for 6 months with Nationwide looks like the most obvious choice - although you can't have 0% balance transfer AS WELL Where as with the Northern you can....

OOoh I have checked and my current provider ( the cheapest by far ) is on Quidco.. I need to read more about this and see if I can use it on a renewal.. It runs out the 8th November so the actual insurers are calling tomorrow with a quote .... £570 is a guess-timate via an on-line comparison site so if they are more I would be very disappointed but I intend to challenge them ...

Quidco's great at insurance renewal time. If you have time to check out lots of options (which as a MSE'r you are, naturally :money:)
There's also a confused.com app which is great if you have a smart phone. Tracks your mileage and gives you £25 once you've driven 250 miles I'll try and find the link... 0 -

I already got the free cradle and charger and I'm on my way towards the 250 mile £25 freebie :j:j I notice they also give you £25 for renewing your insurance through them. I didn't pay much attention to that part though as my insurance isn't due for ages.
I have to say, I love this app The thought of free money makes me excited to use it every time I get in the car (sad, but very true
