I was WELL chuffed with myself...id actually already booked an engineer to have virgin take over when my contract ends in november and then thought id check on here to make sure I was getting the best deal...turns out I wasnt! Cancelled Virgin engineer, and sorted deal with talk talk...THEN discovered as I was transferring rather than cancelling, i could get out of my BT contract early - so saved even MORE money. AND a £50 voucher. Now the only thing to decide is whether to use that for xmas or have a little treat lol :rotfl:

I am a singleton, and I find it really lonely, especially as I can't afford to go out and meet new people, so not much scope for being part of a couple.

It really gets me down sometimes, sat in my room doing online surveys...not fun! It's all my own fault though, and I should be debt free by the end of next year and ready to re-start my life, a lot later than I'd planned.

SouthernBelle - who says you can't do things by yourself. Is it worse being on your own at the cinema / restaruant etc or waiting for someone to do something before you do? My treat - cineworld card. £15 a month. Yes I have started going on my own. Cause I don't care about the other losers around me who are probably not as switched on about there debt as I am...

End of 2013 you and I will be laughing, with competitions won, debt cleared, holidays planned and confidence to do things ON OUR OWN to boot...

You will be amazed who you might meet if you keep an open heart and mind... just not an open wallet....

...oh and I do go to restaurants on my own as well... tart yourself up... sit and eat .. bring a book or sit by a window and people watch. Every woman should be self reliant before man reliant...

I have no problems doing things on my own - cinema, restaurants etc. I go walking in town at the weekends and enjoy an hour (or two) in a coffee shop with a book. I've been on holiday on my own in the past and really enjoyed it.

I can't go out much though, which limits time for meeting people. My friends are very well-off, so any days out, holidays, etc are inevitably too expensive for me.

And actually, I don't think there's anything wrong with admitting that I'm at a stage where I'd like to meet someone to settle down with.

You are right.. nothing wrong with that at all. Sorry I possible jumped the gun there and assumed you weren't going out at all....

I personally don't want any relationship now for a while.. 2013 is all about me for once...

Its hard when friends are rich and assume you should join in.. I'm grateful most of mine are just as poor but even that's hard - they assume I will always travel to them etc..

I get out and about walking my dog everyday so I can't go stir crazy!

well i managed to go out and have a good boogie with £20 in my purse and came back with a fiver! so it can be done YAY!

Well I have been given notice by my landlady to move out of the room I rent off her so she can live in the flat alone with her boyfriend I hate couples LOL

What I'm most concerned about is I was getting a pretty good deal off her so now I'm going to end up probably paying about £200 more a month somewhere else! :eek: Not ideal when I'm trying to get rid of the debt. Eugh its always one thing after another!!
