Hello
Does anyone know where is the best place to get super snuggly PJs?
Primark have men's fleece all in one nightwear suits, like the old baby all in ones only for men, quite good thick fleece, but all in one if they are any good, and cheap some even come with hoods, a good addition for a sleeping bag or bug out bag.
can't help with any PJ's though. the only place I know for that is M and S and it is a bit early for their new range0 -
Not sure if anyone is interested in this idea of mine, but just incase.
To make waterproof mattress and duvet covers for the winter or damp conditions.
I use those quilted mattress protectors from argos, the hotel range and make a cover, to hide a pvc duvet cover for the mattress and duvet, this way if you have damp or any unexpected conditions you can take off the quilted cover and just use the pvc and ordinary covers, also this adds pounds in weight to your existing duvet, so you will need your own duvet, cover with pvc and you made up mattress protector sewn as a quilt cover and your duvet cover, it makes a medium quilt well over 20tog, then encase your mattress with pvc sheets and use the hotel protector then your sheets, this way your bed is fully protected from damp
Be sure this is a grown up bed, you can get special bedding for children, this is for grown ups, not baby's bed either, they are special items, the pillow can be done in the same way for grown ups, the mattress cover takes the sweat out of the pvc0 -
Hello

I usually get mine from m&s, debenhams or john Lewis.
Today, amongst other things, I have cleaned the extractor filter in the kitchen. I prefer to open the door and window but not always possible in the winter. Another job to tick off the list.

It is useful to get the priority bills sorted before winter, i am in the process of getting the big 3 sorted out into direct debits, the rent, the water and the council tax, so i do not have to what i call snow it, i have opened a bank account, just a basic one but it takes direct debits
That is what i intend to start off by the end of september, in time for the weather going bad0 -
Hello
Does anyone know where is the best place to get super snuggly PJs?
I buy primark's fleecy ones (£6-£8 last year IIRC). They've seen me through student halls and weeks with no heating when the boiler in my rented flat is on the blink. There's nothing worse than having to put on ice-cold cotton pj's in a freezing room then having to get into a cold bed! Cheap fleece fabric doesn't get as cold and warms up much faster than any type of cotton I can find.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Hi everyone. The recent turn in the weather has prompted me to get my Winter to-do list together.
I need to get a car kit together (traveling 19 miles to college with a 10 month old in the car)
I have a lovely big larder cupboard now so I'm going to buy a few extra cans every food shop (mainly for the days when its really chilly and I feel like just microwaving some Heinz soup)
My little boy has a lovely duffle coat which will keep him cosy this year (heavily reduced in the Next sale, well chuffed with my bargain), he also has a hat and gloves. I will need to buy him a scarf. He will be walking to school (starts next week , where does the time go?) so I want to make sure he is toasty come Winter.
I need to buy him some cosy bed sheets. He has a 4.5 tog quilt, I might get him a 10 tog but my mum seems to think this is a bad idea??
My little girl kicks off her covers at night so i'll get her a baby sleeping bag. Also need to buy her a all in one ski suit type thing ( I know what I mean)
Off to compile a big list of what needs done :rotfl:0 -

Morning! it's been really chilly here the past 2 evenings. I have been wearing my dressing gown to keep warm!.
Can anyone recommend a good umbrella? I've found these : http://www.coopersofstortford.co.uk/coopers-of-stortford-windproof-umbrella--buy-1-get-1-free-prodc674bundlei/
2 for £9.99 and they are wind proof. My nan has one and gets on well with it but if there is a better umbrella out there then I'd prefer that! I have wasted too much money on cheap £4-5 umbrellas for them to break after 2-3 uses. I've literally had fights with the umbrellas in the street after them breaking and me getting soaked from the torrential rain, it was all just too much! lol. I need a nice sturdy one that will last mex
Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!
