I recently had a clear out and found an entire storage box' worth of candles so they're now sitting in a basket next to my fireplace.
I also have 6 winter blankets for the sofas/bed, a beautiful handmade quilt from MIL and 2 snuggies.
My bargain CS "Sound of Music" curtains are up in the bedroom. Next week I'll get my goose feather duvet down from the cupboard.
My summer clothes have been put in the suitcase under my bed and the jumpers are out *sigh* bring on the freeze!“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Primark has a decent sale on just now. Some fleecy blankets with scalloped edges were £2.50 in the one in Aberdeen.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Does anyone have any tips for making a draught excluder like this one:
Any tips would be fab!
thanks all0 -
I made one with a similar idea in mind - I actually made 2 draft excluder snakes (used an old duvet, cut and rolled and popped a cover) then attached several lengths of ribbon between the two (the ribbon went under the door). My heating is flicking on, meaning temps are dropping to about 15deg. I have a day at home tomorrow so might rehang the door and kitchen curtains and take a walk around the house cosying it up.
I'm hoping to have my conservatory re-roofed soon with tiles, so hopefully it will be warmer out there this winter and we'll still be able to use it. In the meantime I need to find homes for everything out there, whilst work is happening.
Saw a friend today who has a reliable plumber / heating man so will pinch his number and book boiler service. So many things and so little time...Bossymoo
