It's cold here as well today. Is there a thread called "preparing for spring"? If there is, please post the link.
Many thanks

It is bitterly cold here again today, walking the dog this morning and sorting the horses out and I have only just really got warm after a long hot shower and a bowl of chicken soup.
It must be that cold because my horses only stayed out for an hour and then were at the gate wanting to come back inbig job tomorrow morning in mucking out no doubt!!
Staying cold until middle of next week according to the BBC News Weather just nowCat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

I'm still here as well.
It was trying to snow here yesterday, just the odd flurry then it turned to sleet. I can't wait for spring to arrive. I want to start going for daily walks and sorting out my garden but its too cold to do eitherAlso can't wait to start eating salads & light meals again, all these warming stews etc are not good for my waistline :rotfl::rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Nice to see that so many of you are still around
I didn't imagine it, there was a Preparing for Spring thread started by Fruball in January 2011 which was resurrected in 2012 and which it looks like, I killed off! (seem to have a talent for that, sorry:o)
It's a nice, uplifting thead with lots of plans and ideas.
Maybe we could add to that if we're all getting a bit tired of Winter? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2989722
Keep warm everyone, we've had snow, rain, and sunshine today...The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

Still reading along with you all and currently really glad of all the winter prep we did as it's all been useful and not having to go to the shops when the weather has been awful has been wonderful! The food stash is looking a bit depleted by now but the firewood is holding out nicely. Mind you I did give in this morning and put the central heating on for a couple of hours as the house felt a wee bit damp where we have run so long with just the woodstove. Glad to see so many of us still keeping up with the thread even if we're not posting very often, Cheers Lyn x.
If there's even a slight chance that this coming summer will be as dreadful as last summer perhaps we should start a 'Preparing for Summer' thread just as a way of dealing with it!!!!!0 -
Preparing for summer? Just stamp very hard on every single slug you see as it emerges from hibernation ......0

Yes I'm still here. Already think on how we can improve our preparation for next winter. As well as making a shopping list of things that will need replacing.
