Spoony - I have updated the front page with yesterdays NSD so you can leave the update until later and just do it from this point if you want. It'll save you a job, as long as no-one minds :A

    Have a great day :D

Thanks freeby :A I started the update yesterday but ran out of steam after a busy day at work. I'll finish it and post it later - it's another big'un :)

And back on the NSD theme (before we all get shot!) I have to say no sign of an NSD today as junior mog had a vet check up and worm and flea treatment. Senior cat had annual vaccination - at no cost, as I paid £99 the other year for under the Vaccination for Life scheme (one payment covers the animal for its routine vaccinations for its entire life. I don't think they send a hit squad round once the cat's had £99-worth!)

Next NSD will probably be Thursday, watch this space!

...talking of gourmet treats, I heard of a variation to the deep fried Mars Bar. Apparently you take a square of chocolate (not paving slab size I hasten to add!), wrap it in crunchy peanut butter, dip it in sweet batter then deep fry. Haven't had the courage to try it out yet, and dare not mention it to Igor. After all, when I sneaked a look at his famous shepherds pie recipe, the first line said "Peel two shepherds."

    :rotfl::rotfl:
..... and don't tell me.... the topping recipe started "shear two sheep"

i'm going to declare NSD 2 early.
if I wasn't determined to not spend anything today, the arrival of the plumber's bill certainly stiffened my resolve!
We now officially have no money until the end of next month, at least. How depressing, and worrying as all the kids need winter clothes!
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Declaring today as NSD#4!

I doubt tomorrow will be though... I'm still on a pay-as-you-go phone and only have 99p credit remaining. Only seems 5 minutes ago that I last put a tenner on it, but it probably was a month ago really...! People keep trying to talk me into a contract, but for me to spend £10 a month is actually not the norm. It's just not economical for me to get a contract at the mo. I'm happy with my 6 year old retro phone!

I was a bit annoyed by my post this morning. A leaflet came through the door with my name and address, advertising accessories for my "brand new computer!" I'm sure my postman is Mr Honest, as well as all the folk at the sorting office, but I'm not thrilled about the news I have a brand new and expensive computer in the house being put out there to Joe Public...

:o *green Rising alert* *sigh* - can't find anywhere within reasonable distance that does these:(.

Old vet was £49.85  for cat booster last year ...... new vet slightly better at £39.99 but still ..... (and he's due - must organise that!)

Easy chocolate cheesecake recipe courtesy of The Takeaway Secret - make base with crushed digestive biscuits and butter. Mix Nutella and plain soft cheese together (roughly half and half, but taste and adjust quantities to suit). Spread on top of base. Shove in fridge for a few hours to set.

    Really scrumptious!

    *sigh* *wilting Rising*:)
Is it wrong to admit that my favourite treat is melted peanut butter, chocolate & golden syrup mixed with cornflakes & set in the fridge (oh & sometimes i throw in stale marshmallows if i have any knocking around!), seriously greedy, but also seriously yummy!!

Ohhhhh that sounds interesting!:D will have to give that a go when I'm better!!!

No 7 today please (was about to say glad Monday's over - but it's Tuesday :o ....... empty headed atm!)

Ohhhhh, it's Maisie's birthday today ..... finished early & went to the beach for a treat (struggling to get now after work as it gets dark so bloomin' early) and she was VERY naughty!! She's flat out now though, so planning a soak in the bath with a book and an early night!

Vets4pets used to do the vaccination for life scheme. Haven't been for a while but might be worth a look?

Can't get a working link sorry.
