    Good evening folks,

I got back from holiday yesterday and had a quiet week away in Portugal, although I felt it compulsory to sample many bottles of Portugese Red:D:). As Mrs Red provided the spending money for the holidays, I'd like to declare NSDs 1,2,3&4 for Monday to Thursday. And NSD5 for today please. I'd also like to set a target of 17 NSDs for the month.
I had no NSD yesterday as we went to do grocery shopping when we got home and spent enough to keep a small Island in food for a week or 2:eek:
I hope everyone is well, as I haven't yet caught up on any posts:)
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    £2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!
  • Red - great you had a fab holiday!:D Welcome back (and well done on all those NSDs when you were away ...... :T to Mrs Red!)
Feel i should fill you all in about the work stuff... it's in progress, although my cover is blown & the whole office seems to know about it (& not from me):mad::mad: & i've already had some veiled threats about what might happen if i don't retract & deal with it informally, but i'm gonna stick to my guns & pray the union comes through for me!!

Ohhhh BDINI that's terrible - and I do agree with the others that the breach of confidentiality needs to be reported and the leak found out and dealt with :( (((hugs))) hun as it's a horrid situation to be in and we're all routing for you.
rising - hope you feel a bit better after your liquid diet. Thinking about you hun xx :A
Just a thought, you've been under a lot of stress recently, could that have made the crohn's flare up again?

mmmmm that's a yes - stress can do it and I guess coupled with all the F&V / different diet I've been on the last couple of months it could all have got a bit much.

Have slept most of the day :o but got up around 3 and have taken Maisie for a lovely walk to the beach :) - stopped at the C00P on the way home and got a small chicken so trying a little of that for dinner, with some of the chicken soup! (so no NSD for me today!).

Hey guys, had a couple of days break from the forums but am back now, though I must apologise that I've only been able to skim the news as I've got a lot to catch up on :o
Yeah, I've considered that in the past but have been put off by the thought that it might not taste the same. That being said, you don't know until you try, so I think I might grab one carton next time I'm out and give it a go.

Personally, I exclude milk from my NSD challenge so long as that's the only thing i purchase. Frozen milk is ok (well it works better if defrosted first :rotfl:), UHT is bearable as a back up but I deff wouldn't suggest cat milk _pale_ - yes I did try it once in a desparate situation (that said, it tasted like soya milk, so if you like that you're ok...I unfortunately don't)

Morning Gang..thankfully the Yellow Weather Warning didn't affect our likkull corner of the coast too badly *phew* but mutha & I decided not to risk it anyways :D With that, I'm on No3 in my quest to become a fully functioning member of the NSD Clan once more. Having said that, I'm missing Jinty & the beetroot brownie lady..something beginning with K? Had a rugby playing food monster & a milk guzzling older student...I want to say Kerry  but that doesn't sound right...anyways, they had wonderful snaps of Highlanders in (less than  ) traditional costume *cough*

Nope not me BMF, Spoony is right saying it was Keiss. And Jinty was last seen doing the highland fling with a certain Mr Tennant, think she's done a highland flit :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, no more NSD for me - Thurs I stopped at L1dl and got some brownie points by picking up some beers that were on offer for OH (picked up some rye bread - cheaper than the UK supermarkets, tortilla wraps and errr some biccies at the same time :o) Was rather :D when I got asked for ID...given I'm now the wrong side of 30

Yesterday would've been one but we went to a function and then a do afterwards at a friends house, was going to drive but then one of our friends offered to collect us if I dropped the car at home, which suited me - wasn't planning to drink lots but hate being restricted to 'just the one I'm driving' as I'm always designated driver if its me and OH and we have that car....consequently I copped the taxi fare home.

Today I must admit I've been very naughty, been to TKM and it's sister H0mesense and now have lovely new towels and two new pillows (got a side sleeper box one for me - hoping it will help my neck) also fell into Primarni & Zara :o Although some of the pennies I spent were b'day money so it's errr...not quite as bad as it might seem :o:o:o (and at least with my new pillow I'll still sleep soundly tonight :rotfl:)

Hope you're all having a lovely evening xx

  • Hmmm... it sounds to me as though someone is feeling the pressure a bit, stick to your guns BDINI, you've got him on the run now. I don't think the union would have taken on your case if they didn't think you had good prospects of winning.

You're probably wise not to say too much, you never know who you're taking to online, that's the problem.

Fingers and toes crossed for you hun and sending you a big (((hug)))

    spoon xxx
I think someone is getting a little twitchy in the bottom department :rotfl: Stay with it and prove that good always wins over evil :rotfl: You are doing the right thing and, although I know its easy for me to say, hold your head high because you have done nothing wrong. (((((hug)))))

Thank so much both of you, the support on here is amazing, & it is you guys who keep me going, so thanks again!

I do hope you've told the person in the union who is helping you with this, as it WILL help with whatever your action is for. There has obviously been a breach of confidentiality & that is not a good move for any employer, so if not done already REPORT IT!
It is difficult to stand your ground when you are the one who has to do it--been there, done that, used the t-shirt to clean up the battle scars ready for next time :p--but if you don't look after your Rights to x,y & z as is written in your contract of employment/civil liberties/plain old common sense, who will? And then it happens to someone else who does nothing, & someone after them, for perpetuity....

I wish the very best of results for you, & send virtual courage to prop you up when you feel a little jaded ((HUGS))

Awww thanks BMF, i shall be using your virtual courage quite a bit in the upcaoming day's i think!
Not been able to get hold of my union rep, who has been away for a couple of days, but i have a little notebook for writing these things down so i don't forget anything when it comes to filling him in!!
You are so right that there are many others in the office that moan about it but do nothing, i hate that it has to be me that will make the stand, but to quote that bloke off mastermind, who's name i can't remember.... "i've started so i'll finish!!"

Thanks guys, you don't know how much to means to know you're all behind me!! (well apart from igor maybe whom i like to keep my eye on at all times!! :rotfl::rotfl:)

Rising, glad you have had a nice restful day taking care of yourself, hope your tummy does ok with the chicken tonight!
Not had chance to read back the past few days posts, but a message here for Bdini.

Bdini - I don't know your identity. I don't know where you live or work, but I am 99.99% certain it is in a different part of the country from where I am. I have had work problems in the past which necessitated union involvement, and although work itself was tolerable whilst all the stuff was going on, and we came to a good solution in the end, it was still a stressful time for me.

My current area of work is seeing potential changes that impact severely on staff, and the unions are in talks with the powers that be. My OH was once a union official in another field, and his advice would be the same as mine - do not discuss or allow anyone to badger you at work about this matter. Your response to any enquiries should be "no comment, as the process is ongoing". Veiled threats - oh, yes, we all know about them. Pass them on to your union rep when you get them, he/she will keep you grounded about it.

If you want to unload or pick anyone's brains in confidence, you are more than welcome to PM me. As I said, I have no connection with anything in your life apart from this website, so anything you chose to say in a PM to me would stay there.

    Courage, ma brave!

Nargle, thank you so so much, your message is so lovely it made me cry!!
I really do appreciate your offer, & will probably be Pm'ing you like a mad woman when things get under way (you may regret that offer :D). It makes everything just that little bit easier to know i have this amazing support, so thank you again (i can't find the the right words to really let you know how grateful i am, so i'll just have to say thank you again!!)

  • On a brighter note, number 3 for me today :j:j
Have made a start on redecorating the spare room for (if?) when my friend is ready to come to stay, so you'll be glad to know that my famous soggy paintbrush is out of retirement & back for beating anyone who uses the F word!! :rotfl::rotfl:
