....Feel i should fill you all in about the work stuff... it's in progress, although my cover is blown & the whole office seems to know about it (& not from me):mad::mad: & i've already had some veiled threats about what might happen if i don't retract & deal with it informally, but i'm gonna stick to my guns & pray the union comes through for me!!....
I do hope you've told the person in the union who is helping you with this, as it WILL help with whatever your action is for. There has obviously been a breach of confidentiality & that is not a good move for any employer, so if not done already REPORT IT!
It is difficult to stand your ground when you are the one who has to do it--been there, done that, used the t-shirt to clean up the battle scars ready for next time :p--but if you don't look after your Rights to x,y & z as is written in your contract of employment/civil liberties/plain old common sense, who will? And then it happens to someone else who does nothing, & someone after them, for perpetuity....

I wish the very best of results for you, & send virtual courage to prop you up when you feel a little jaded ((HUGS))

Morning Gang..thankfully the Yellow Weather Warning didn't affect our likkull corner of the coast too badly *phew* but mutha & I decided not to risk it anyways :D With that, I'm on No3 in my quest to become a fully functioning member of the NSD Clan once more. Having said that, I'm missing Jinty & the beetroot brownie lady..something beginning with K? Had a rugby playing food monster & a milk guzzling older student...I want to say Kerry  but that doesn't sound right...anyways, they had wonderful snaps of Highlanders in (less than  ) traditional costume *cough*

Unfortunately it's a spend weekend for me! I don't feel like I'm doing very well so far this month!
I had to go and pay in some birthday cheques this morning, and unless I wanted to walk for an hour to get into town, I have to pay to park. They also seem to have increased the parking tarriff! You used to be able to pay 60p for an hour, but now that option is gone and the cheapest is £1.20 for up to 2 hours! Not very pleased about that! I think I'll stick to Sunday's free (for now!) parking!
As I was in town anyway, I made this mistake of having a little wander round, but was quite good. Put a £2 HMV voucher towards a book that's been on my Amazon wishlist for quite a while, and spent £1 on 2 Wispa Duo's to enjoy infront of "Pillars Of The Earth" on tv tonight!

Then tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut! Absolutely nothing fancy though, just a trim!

Re, milk: You have to tip some out before freezing? I've never done that! I just put them in the freezer in the same state they come home from the shop, and so far have never had a problem... I'm worried now though! Haha!
Because it's fun to have money!

Hello, can I sign up late for this challenge please? We've hit a really bad cash flow crisis -we're completely skint and are going to stay so for a while, so I need to watch the pennies.

One problem is that I go to the supermarket probably every other day to pick up a little something and, you can imagine, I come away with extras!
So I'm going to aim for 10 NSD, and for me this will be days where I don't hand over any money in shops or for lunches etc.

I think I'll also do the 'envelope putting money aside' thing mentioned by others and get all my 'spends' for school lunches, trips, subs etc. done on one day.

    Here goes...

    Hi gien and welcome
You're definitely in the right place:D Freeby will add you to the front page next time she's on here, if you need any advice/help in the meantime please just ask away.

Good luck with meeting your target, you can do it :T

    Hi BMF
    Lovely to see you :A

Good news re the weather, let's hope things stay calm.

Keiss is who you're thinking of. She's still around - to be found on the cross-stitching and various other craft-y type threads. I think she's having a bit of a break from NSDs atm, busy jobs, etc, but I think she'll be back at some stage.

Haven't seen Jinty for a while, though she has been around.

I miss them both as well, hope they'll be back soon.

    Take care

Still no NSD for me this month. Hoping to have one either today or tomorrow but that will depend on OH as he is trying to persuade me to go out tonight.

Should get better next week as we're both back at work after taking two weeks off. Don't really have time to spend money when we're both working, just need to make sure I'm organised with food.

Well hellooooo chaps and chapesses! Just showing my (virtual) shameful face to apologise for my absence these past few days but I have been let us say a creature of the night, (none of your filthy thoughts, BigMumma!) and am now looking forward to a few days off.

The upside of such an unnatural existence is that I have managed to drag the first 2 NSDs a-kickin' and a-screamin' into the bag!

Not had chance to read back the past few days posts, but a message here for Bdini.

Bdini - I don't know your identity. I don't know where you live or work, but I am 99.99% certain it is in a different part of the country from where I am. I have had work problems in the past which necessitated union involvement, and although work itself was tolerable whilst all the stuff was going on, and we came to a good solution in the end, it was still a stressful time for me.

My current area of work is seeing potential changes that impact severely on staff, and the unions are in talks with the powers that be. My OH was once a union official in another field, and his advice would be the same as mine - do not discuss or allow anyone to badger you at work about this matter. Your response to any enquiries should be "no comment, as the process is ongoing". Veiled threats - oh, yes, we all know about them. Pass them on to your union rep when you get them, he/she will keep you grounded about it.

If you want to unload or pick anyone's brains in confidence, you are more than welcome to PM me. As I said, I have no connection with anything in your life apart from this website, so anything you chose to say in a PM to me would stay there.

    Courage, ma brave!

No NSD today. After charity event I went to the charity discount stall in local church carpark and got some bargains ( stuff I would buy in weekly shop anyway) for less than half of what I would have spent in tesco. But then I also bought two non-essential cake mixes but I use those as part of sleepover kits so not too wasteful! Won't be out again today though might buy more mailing bags from eBay. I know I could do it cheaper but I like no-hassle packaging and I'm running out if stuff to reuse!
