Thanks Bdini for the update! :) I didn't manage to bag a NSD as I went to get toilet roll (desperate situation :)) and peas for dinner. Whilst i was there I got some reduced crusty rolls for lunch tomorrow so there will be NO spending on my lunch break, hoping to crack NSD number 3 tomorrow instead of today :)
I just wanted to say - how great this thread is, I love reading about what other people do and do not count as 'spends'.
As I have now eaten a homemade lunch (lunchtime is my danger in spending point) I am going to report NSD 2 :T
    Good luck everyone x
I think my fave part is reading what people do and don't count cuz that always helps me reasses and also i love reading about resisting/giving in to temptation. We're only human afterall. Well done on avoiding lunchtime dangerzone, its SO hard! Totally my weak point.
I snuck quiety round the corner and low and behold.....

NSD NO 2 quietly bagged and brought home

.o0(Even after braving a bit of window shopping in my fav store and 2 of my fav charity shops):p
Well done for not turning window shopping into the real thing!
    Hi All,

NSD #2 safely captured after a bit of a chase..........It was VERY tempting to buy a bacon roll when several others walked into the office with them - fortunately I no longer carry cash (this is the only thing I have in common with the Queen:rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:) unless it's a planned spend.

Also working over 2 miles away from a cashpoint helps.
Woooo well done you out of debt on avoiding the bacon roll temptation. I am finding not taking cash out with me really helpful too, it makes me think twice if I have to use my card. I'd leave that at home too but I always like to have that 'just in case' safety net.

InaPickle well done on ur yummy whooopsies, I've done the same today :)
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D

InaPickle – well done for number 4, although I have to ask, how have you managed that many when it’s only the 3rd of the month?????? :j:j

Ha ha - good point! :D It's just that I make tomorrow's lunch tonight and am generally on the forum later rather than earlier, so I post tomorrow's lunch today, so to speak, so I don't forget, as there is bound to be a night (like tomorrow, for example) when I am unlikely to get to a computer and be able to post, so it keeps me up-to-date: including tomorrow I have made lunch every evening this week and that's four altogether. (Although I won't be making lunch for Curry and Chips Friday on, erm, Friday, but it will pain me to break my NSD streak and I would very seriously consider not buying it were it not the last day of my colleague, and it's our little tradition together. :(

Thank you for the welcome :) I was going for my first NSD today but a friend has just asked me out for coffee. I invited her here but she said she would rather go out she needs to talk. I am finding it very hard to make changes and say no to people. P0lly x

    Declaring NSD#2 for yesterday. :j

Will not be having another one today as I just paid to have my 2 front tyres changed...another joy of commuting around Edinburgh with all the potholes that it brings!

Onwards and upwards for tomorrow though, hoping to bag number 3 then.

Well done everyone for doing brilliantly so far :T

Think on Saturday night we all deserve a vino

Yesterday was #2 but today won't be one, we are meeting a friend for dinner and she has some yarn I ordered so I need to pay for that (even though Dr Dragon will pay for dinner :p), although I got the cash out for it on a spend day last week and then she had to cancel .... wanders off wondering if it can still count as a nsd in that case?
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

HeadAboveWater – hope you enjoyed your dinner out?

We did indeed. Very tasty :) (and worked out pretty cheap too which was even better!!! (see here) ;))

Aiming for a NSD today - finally!!! lol :) Will update later or tomorrow on that one!

Thanks for the wee personal touches btw. It's nice to get encouraged 1-on-1, makes me smile, and keeps me motivated! I need that kick up the butt.... ;) lol

    EDIT:
Bang goes todays NSD. Boss sending me out for milk :( That's work-related so I'm gonna have to not count it or something... :(

    EDIT no. 2:
    *sigh*
Had told SIL yesterday we'd meet at lunch today, so when she texted this morning I said I'd see her at her house. But then she replied saying she'd be in town. Course typically it was my turn to buy the cuppas... :(

Also got a bargain pair of Animal jeans from this thread but wasn't counting it as a spend as I already had the money in paypal!

I am NOT giving up!! I AM gonna get my 10 NSDs!!!!!!
