oh yeah - i didnt see that below! So that is only if I purchase it online? Im wary of purchasing it online, to be honest. I want to keep my number etc, so I'd rather speak with a real person in shop...unless the online method is straightforward in that regard?0

You can still keep your number when buying it online as long as you have your PAC code0 -
I asked the question to the live help earlier today about transferring my O2 number to 3 and they said, order the phone online, when it arrives give them a call with the PAC code from my current supplier and they will convert the number across which will take up to 5 days.
Ask them anything you are unsure about on their live online help, they were really helpful and told me if I purchased today I get a free Bluetooth headset, and I didnt even need to ask them for it.0 -

I don't think there's any time limit on transfering your number either.. I took out a contract with three in January and transfered my number from vodafone this week.. My contract with vodafone didn't end until now but I thought at the time the deal was to good to miss..:)sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0 -
£15 / 75mins = 20p/min for a non-texter.
You only get ebay and targeted downloads (no full internet).
As with monthly contracts you never you exactly what you have paid for so there will be some wastage.
edit: but the £12.50 one does improve £12.50 / 150 = 8p/min and loads of texts
Meanwhile T-Mobile offer 12p/min and GPRS full internet (slow) for £1/day on PAYG.
Contracts - don't be blinded by confusion?Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker0 -
WHy is it people dont seem to like 3? So whats other people found wrong?
Reception quality and calls cutting off.
3 have improved since they started but the reception quality can't be compared with the likes of O2, Orange, Vodaphone just to name a few.
Even though I can understand some people might not have too much of a problem with reception quality as we all live in different places the fact is 3 uses orange network when you are out of 3g coverage zone, when it switches over networks most people will experience cuts during calls. This is the big problem with 3.
The other networks use their own networks for both 2g/3g services.0 -
I thought the carrier network was actually T-Mobile that it drops back toOrder of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. 3's 2g carrier is infact Orange (used to be O2), I've had it for 6 weeks now and can't fault it. Used in three major cities and no problems with reception, even managed to use the internet whilst on a slow train.
If you do sign up to do this deal don't forget the recommend a friend, £30 for you and £30 for them (if you don't know anyone on 3 pm me), also the quidco and the free bluetooth headsets.
If you want internet access aswell I throughly recommend getting the X-Series added on to ANY tariff only for £5, includes unlimited internet and skype amongst other things (there is a very reasonable fair use policy though)
I transferred my number from O2 to 3 and after giving them my PAC Code it took about 5 days or soSLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250 -
Is it possible to be recommended by a friend and get Quidco? And get £25 credit currently on offer? Thanks.0
