walked past a tesco this morning and the sign said £1.36.9 / litre, and has been that price for at least a week or two, are they claiming it was £139.9 / litre before?

still extortionate, anyway, so filling up 50 litres will now cost you £1.50 less, dont spend it all at once......:D

No price reductions here, still 135.7 at Asda and 136.9 at Tesco.

No price reduction here, just a price increase by Tesco as the Shell put their prices up yesterday. Now that the BP opposite Tesco has closed (was attached to a car dealership which went bust) there is one less fuel-station in the cartel.

Still 3p more than a city 12 miles away, but then that city has competition pushing the price down.

Supermarkets are fast to announce they are dropping prices, they don't like to announce price increases
  • Time will tell. I'll fill up again soon and I will put in Esso or Shell, and then see if my mpg rises from the present 38 to its more normal 45ish. I can't do a real test until most of the Morrisons fuel has gone.

As for Morrisons getting their fuel from the same place as Shell and Esso - maybe they do but recent Esso commercials are pointing out that their fuel has extra additives. My recent experience tells me that what comes out of the pump on the forecourt isn't the same.

Well, I filled up yesterday with Esso diesel after letting my tank get as low as possible.

Within half a mile, my mpg average has returned to normal of around 45mpg - that's 7mpg better than with the Morrisons fuel.

It's proof enough for me anyway that I should never fill up with supermarket fuel again.
