Child & Co Bankers ?

Depends on internal RBS scoring. You might get a child card, you you might not. Just wait and see.
I'm not sure how relevant this is to anybody, but I've got it on fairly good authority that if you apply for an RBS account, and select branch 15-80-00, the debit cards should ALL be branded Child & Co. If you receive a card that is a standard RBS card, you can report this to them and arrange for the correct card to be sent. This may be incorrect, but it's come from staff at RBS so I'm inclined to believe it should be true. It would also make sense that all cards issued by this branch should be C&C, as that is effectively what the branch is.0 -

Not sure, but I know of cases where people have received RBS cards and when phoning RBS, call agents have no idea about Child. Think it was in this thread far back.
Remember there is sort code for "real" (ie high salary) private customers, it would make sense if only "real" private customers got the child card, but almost everyone seems to get it.0 -
This is tosh.
Childs don't have an online debit card, therefore if RBS aren't happy to issue you with an offline debit card (due to the application credit score) then you'll get an RBS branded online one.
That confusion is also added from Childs not issuing contactless to date.I'm not sure how relevant this is to anybody, but I've got it on fairly good authority that if you apply for an RBS account, and select branch 15-80-00, the debit cards should ALL be branded Child & Co. Yay! Finally Child and Co has issued contactless cards!0

Hello, sorry I've been unwell so didn't check the forum for a day or two. Yes, it's contactless. I haven't imagined it. It has the contactless symbol on it and comes with a leaflet about making contactless payments. I had damaged my last card so requested a replacement on the online banking service. That is what arrived.0

Is the design otherwise the same, apart from the addition of the contactless symbol?0

I'm expecting the card arriving in the next couple of days. I'll post a picture if it is indeed the C&C branded card I receive.0

My new card (June 16) is Child's branded is a lovely deep blue colour - not the same bright blue as RBS ones -but not contactless. I didn't like the previous gold card, too brash for me!0

I have also opened an account at their Drummonds branch (the non-private banking sort code). Any bets as to whether I get a Drummonds card (a la Child & Co) or a bog-standard RBS one?0
