No,I said you cant afford not to.
You cant have it both ways.
you dont want to/cant pay for the service you wish, but wish to berate the AA for not providing you with the service free
I think you misunderstood me I did upgrade to relay which states that you can be towed to any destination in the Uk, but AA decided that night that 50 miles was the maximum they would take us I'm finishing this here as all I wanted was advice and not criticism I did pay out for the cover that I thought would be sufficient for me and my situation!!::(0 -

you upgraded at the point of need
not the same as having the cover in place0 -
Honestly never thought I'd click "like" on one of custardy's posts0

In future try AutoAid, much much cheaper than the AA and gives you the 5* full recovery package for £38 per year, as recommended on MSE.0

he had a look at the engine and stated that it was a small fault but as it was saturday evening he could do nothing for us
Do the A A's T&Cs say that they only offer roadside cover "when the shops are open"
I doubt it !0 -

We were only answering what you asked though. You didn't have much cause for complaint but thought we'd all agree that you'd been hard done by. We all make mistakes and hopefully you and others will learn from this one.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

If you are not entitled to any AA Breakdown Cover services or you are not, at the time of the breakdown, entitled to the particular assistance service(s) you require, the AA may still be prepared to provide the required assistance. However, if so, in addition to paying the usual premium for the relevant AA Membership cover, a supplementary premium will be payable.
In addition, if you have broken down and require, but don’t have, Relay (and the AA is prepared to upgrade your AA Membership to include this) the AA is entitled to limit the distance of the recovery under Relay on this occasion. The maximum mileage will be notified to you when you request assistance and you will be charged for any recovery provided in excess of this mileage.0
