Just wanted to say thank you to all that have posted poems> Mum and Dad had to have the family dog, Copper, put down today. He was a boxer and lived a happy life for 14 years, but this will be the last time there is a dog in the house as both Mum and Dad are getting older and would not be able to cope with another dog. Dad has taken it quite badly as it is another time he has had to make the decision to put one of the dogs down. He knows its the right thing but as he says it doesn't make it any easier. I have printed these poems and am going to post them to him and hope that they give him some comfort. Got to go know key board getting very blurry

janeys - so sorry to hear of your loss too, 14 though is old for a Boxer, he must have had a good life to have lived that long. Your Dad did the right thing by him, but like you say, it doesn't make it any easier.
