  • Evening all

I'm braindead after work then college :( but it was nice to see everyone in college after summer break.

I had a very nice phonecall from the bank earlier, as a result of an error they made twice and losing my complaint letter they are compensating me with almost £150 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j I didn't expect a penny, just wanted to highlight the issue. I will pay £100 off the CC and keep £50 to treat myself with something pretty :D.

I didn't end up seeing my friend tonight, kinda glad as I'm shattered! Got some sneaky chips for tea on the way home :)

I'll be MIA now til Friday, off on residential trip with work and 14 teens  :rotfl:. I'm almost all packed, will do rest in morning.

    Have a good week all

I feel like a voice crying in the wilderness when I post so late in the day. All you sensible ones have been spending a productive day and have gone to bed in good time. I've been running to stand still.

After the obligatory hour or so of Mia worship I spent the rest of the day answering the phone, answering the door bell, sorting out the bottom of the house after a manic weekend and unpacking my AF order and rearranging my dining room/store cupboard to get everything in. By then I was exhausted - doesn't take much these days - so haven't even thought about the church magazine that has to be done by Saturday.

I do sympathise with those whose offspring have left home. It's the unnatural tidiness and quietness that gets to you. I used to lie in bed with my ears still straining to hear the cars/motorbikes come safely home. They would have been appalled if they had known that I couldn't sleep properly until everyone was in. Probably it was best that I didn't know what they were up to when they left.

I'm fed up with cooking but we've someone coming to tea tomorrow and all the cakes, biscuits and puddings I made over the weekend were for other people so I must start again in the morning.

    Night night!
