Raining very heavy here this morning.
Its been raining most of the night here. And it looks like there will be no let up any time soon:mad:
The Girls are not In school today. Some sort of teachers day ???
My wife also has the day off. The Girls,my wife and the MIL are all off to the dancing shop as the girls need some new tap shoes and also new ballet shoes.
I'm not sure what My plans are. But I don't think it will involve going out anywhere. I do have a few things to do.
Well I hope that you all have a great day.
Enjoy:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Workmen arriving around eight thirty so getting dressed and making breakfast for me and DH before they turn up. Need to load dishwasher and put dd's laundry in wash before looking out clothes to take to hospital later.
Need to go out early for bread and stuff for sandwiches etc as I don't want to miss a call if test results are through for dd.
DH rescued two small marrows from garden as frost had got to them so might do a small veg bake with them and add some fish or chicken pieces from freezer for tonight. DH was given two bags full of apples and beetroot so beets are cooked and peeled and apples ditto. Fridge is looking empty apart from all the beetroot and apples so need stuff that makes stuff as well as lunch box things.

Morning All,
I havent had a very productive day so far. I have a free 7 day gym pass which was meant to start today, went along leaving what i thought would be enough time to register for my pass and then do a spinning class but nope, i missed the beginning so i couldnt join in. So ive got them to change the start date and i will go tomorrow instead.
I then went to our local garden centre and brought some reduced veggie seedlings and have since planted them in our veggie plot. I also brought some reduced tomato plants which I will plant tomorrow in a tub in our back garden.
Ive also secured an established orange tree via gumtree for just $20 which Im collecting tomorrow and will get that planted in our back garden. Hopefully I will get enough fruit to make marmalaid (SP).
Lamb is in the slow cooker and my last lot of laundry is in the washer
Now its time for a cuppa and i read of the news on-line.
Have a great day everyone

Morning all
Late night as workmen came to chop up and shred a massive tree branch that fell off oak tree onto someone's car last night it's opposite our house). Wasn't windy, just think the branch is so big and heavy it couldn't stay up anymore  makes me worry about the rest of the tree as it hasn't been pruned in the whole time we've lived here (10 years) and its very large
Anyway in other news there will be ZERO OS today, off to take H to Bath for his second interview today. Have mixed feelings about all this which I shan't bore you withso gonna suggest to H we leave extra early as the weather is so bad.
No idea what's for tea, probably stuff something down our neck when we finally roll home
Hugs and spoons all round xxxx
Sistercas I am sure you'll get used to it xxxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning All
Still raining here as well, It was a little chilly last night but not as cold as Saturday night.
At least my water barrels are full again, that is a 100L and 2 x 200L ones, they were as dry as a bone.
DH is at work, DS has just left for college, DD is at her BF's, so I am relishing the peace.
My joints are the same in this weather JackieO.
I am having a day at home today and just going to try to tackle a few bits around the house, I was a little tornado before I got arthritis, now I struggle to do the simplest of tasks
Bitsy I hope that everything goes well for DH today.
sistercass (((((Hugs)))))Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Good Morning All
Yuck weather here too.
Today am having an office day, got loads to do. Won't get it all done but will stop at lunchtime and then attack the ironing. Got so cold and wet at football yesterday came home, had a bath, cooked dinner and that was it.
OH is at home today so he has taken DD to the station. I have already spent a little time in the office so just about to jump in the shower.
Tonight we are also turning left over lamb into a stew. DD is not a fan so she will have tuna and cheese toasted pittas.
Best get going, have a good day.x0 -
Morning All,
Wet and windy here, I'm not going anywhere today.
Had a lovely weekend with OH. We went for a chinese meal Friday, and got a lot of things sorted out. Didn't reach the conclusion I wanted, but we compromised instead. Didn't want to throw away eleven years together.:o
Sistercas I was the same as you when my son went to Uni. It was so far away! You will adjust though, and now I don't want them back for long!:rotfl:
JackieO I got down on the floor yesterday to pick something up and was stuck too! Had to shuffle on my bum to the hall from the kitchen, then crawl up the stairs till I could stand up:eek: It's a real pain.
Saw my surgeon on Friday. He is very pleased with me. My arm is nearly straight, need a bit of physio now. The bruising is amazing, looks like someone has stamped all over me:rotfl: It aches a bit today, but I did use it yesterday,( as best I could) so that's not surprising.
Confess to putting the heating on!
I have two small pork steaks left from yesterday, so that's today's dinner sorted.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you want them.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning all, wet and horrid here. Yesterday it rained all day so the little amount of washing I had went onto the airers. Will check to see what is dry in a bit.
JackieO I know what you mean about iffy joints I am hurting all over and have Witchy fingers hoping with a little laptop exercise they will loosen up a tad .
Am sitting in my pjs with a fleece blanket over my knees and woofer curled up keeping my toes warm with a cuppa and some pate on toast.
Steak pie and mash tonight .
If painful joints ease I will be doing some house work, if the dont then I wont, not actually anything that really needs doing.
Must try and catch my neighbour , they have a drain pipe next to my front door and the fitting from the gutter is square where as the pipe is round so the rain just pours out instead of going down and the slightest bit of wind and it hammers against the front door:mad::mad:.
Hugs for eveyone and have a safe monday:)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Morning :hello:
Just jumped up in a panic, mr tru said the police are outside in a van. Then he said 'no no no, I said I've left my fleece in the van'
Very dark this morning, I was trying to encourage the chickens out at 8am but they were all snuggled up and wouldn't move. Broody Pepper was screeching at me, she thinks I'm going to steal her 'babies'. She really thinks those rubber eggs are real
I've got the heating on low. My leg has stiffened up a few times lately when it's been cold and I'm not risking all that again.
I WILL make some candles today. I've grated all the wax - it filled two large shoeboxes and left me with very sore fingers. Most of it is white but there's a bit of red, blue, purple and brown. I've mixed it all together, I'll probably end up with sludge coloured candlesBulletproof0 -
Morning all,
Horrible and wet here toobeen raining since yesterday morning. Only a tiny bit of washing to do so I wont bother today.
Had a good day on ebay yesterday, and got a few more bits listed, will need to go to the post office later on.
Need to do an online food shop later on, need another cheap week like last week.
Will go and see my dad at lunch time, I went yesterday and he was on good form, will go today as I can go tomorrow on my usual day.
Roast pork, roasties and cauli / brocoli cheese tonight with carrots, might make some yorkshires too.
Got to take the dog to the vet for her jabs tonight, was meant to go last week but had to cancel.
Sistercas, I have been thinking of you over the weekend, (this time next year it will be my dd) hope you are ok xx
Elona, have you had any news on your dd yet ? I hope she is ok xx
Have good days all xx0
