    Morning all,

It's the same wet and windy weather here as well. Hate everyone going out to work and college when it's like this, just want to keep everyone at home in the warm.
Bitsy good luck to dh with interview
SS you will get there she will be back with a big pile of washing before you know it.
A NSD for me today as well. I had a lovely weekend with mum and dad But I'm still in agony with my tooth. I am sick of taking painkillers, all they do is make me sick and I can still feel the pain in the background iykwim, so have another appt tomorrow and am going to insist they take it out!
Tea tonight is chicken curry and there should be enough for two meals so will freeze half.
The wedding plans in Australia are gathering pace with everyone organising outfits. I'm trying to leave mine until the last minute as I've been losing weight, I think probably smart trousers and a floaty top, I don't really do dresses or show my legs, but the younger girls have picked some beautiful dresses. My dd has bought a beautiful red vintage forties dress with a pillbox hat and veil, she will look beautiful.
It's not easy trying to buy summer clothes at this time of the year but I have got quite a few bits from the charity shops.
Anyway better get on, keep warm J x

  • Morning everyone,

Well the weather is grey and rainy here, not sure if it is windy as I have not ventured out. Nowhere to go :j

Yesterday I found an open bottle of fabric softener in the back of the kitchen cupboard(stopped buying in an effort to stop wasting money), decided to pop it into the wash as I had dragged all winter clothes out of storage to be washed (mostly woolly stuff) only to find that it has been that long since I used fabric softener that I have forgotten which part of the draw it goes in :rotfl:
Tea is al ready for tonight as it just needed taking out of freezer.
    Contemplating making cards today.

    Morning all,

Rain, rain and more rain. Garden duties are on hold as I am hoping for a break in the rain…. I’m sure the tomatoes and cucumber can last out a bit longer. The central heating has been put on now and its staying on until the spring.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Saturday I was dragged round car showrooms. Hubby is determined to buy a new car. He took out a test drive on a new (well 6 month old i40). He has bought so many cars over the last few years I have well and truly lost interest. He goes from big cars to little cars and now he is looking at big cars again. Still, he hasn’t signed on the dotted line yet (and I think he would be foolish if he did).

Managed to keep a tight rein on the grocery shopping this week. I failed miserably last week. I’m trying to get it down to less than £70 a week for 2 of us and hubby is only home weekends so you would think it would be easily obtainable wouldn’t you? I hang my head in shame. £84 last week.

Saturday I heard from my eldest son. He is ok, still battling his demons but he’s happy. He seemed much more positive than when I spoke to him last. Ive told him I want to know the truth. I know he would prefer to tell me what I want to hear but ive explained to him I need to know the good and the bad.

Sunday I spent mainly on Ebay, photographing and listing a few things mainly.

Todays plan of action is vacuum and dust throughout, washing and maybe clean the kitchen floor.

    Have a great day all,

Bitsy - lots of "get that job" vibes for DH
sistercas - hugs, it won't happen to me for about 6 or 7 years but I do sympathise
hilstep - glad you managed to work things out 11 years is a long time
tru - I spluttered out coffee when I read about the police/fleece hehe

I'm moving the LR furniture around today so a good old Autumn Clean is in progress here - had to hoover the top of the walls in 1 corner as there were so many spiders webs lol.

Have a good day everyone, hope you all stay warm and dry - its raining here too

dd had an echocardiogram on Friday so we are waiting for results and a plan of action if she does have a small hole in the heart as well as the kidney problems and blood clots. Feel like a budgie that has wandered into Wimbledon - battered to and fro with more questions than answers. DH and rest of family has now realised how serious it can be but dd herself says she feels fine (anyone else would be freaking out at a third of the news never mind all the potential tests etc.)

Raining here but at least have got fresh veg and bread in this morning. Might surprise family with home made mushroom soup tonight as weather is miserable.

    Hugs to all.

Bitsy - good luck to OH
Elona - hope DD is ok

Wet and windy here, but meant to clear up this afternoon.

In work this morning, shifting furniture round first thing, then a meeting with my NVQ assessor. This afternoon I need to plan for the residential trip we are off on tomorrow for 3 nights. Early finish today as I'm back in college this evening til 7pm. Then I'm hopefully seeing a friend for a catch up, but not heard from him to confirm yet. And need to pack.

OS wise - dishes washed, HM soup for lunch, if I'm home for tea it'll be something from freezer.

    Have a good day all

Wet and windy here too, but not as bad as some of you, hope you all manage to stay safe.

DD bought new work trousers yesterday and I had to turn them up for her before she went to work this morning. Also turned up a pair of curtains I put up in DDs room while I had the sewing kit out. Presently baking for a Macmillan coffee afternoon in school on Wednesday, it's a bank holiday here so making the most of it!

Hugs to all in need and good luck vibes for OHs job Bitsy. Elona, hope DD is ok, sounds like she has good spirit.

    Take care. XX

I must also see if I can get down and do the skirting boards as they are looking a bit yuk.Getting downs OK its just getting up again:):) I have a problem with. Blasted joints don't work so well in the damp.

a little tip I use is to use a damp mop on the skirting boards - saves having to bend:)

    evening!

went back to work - still stuffed up but feeling a lot better.
Vile weather and drive to work.

Not a lot of OS to report. I've been given some cooking apples - just need to get round to stewing them.
