If you were still together, you wouldnt have this money...so whats different?
Just forget it (and him) and get on with your life0 -
I agree with the others, it was a gift and whatever humiliation you have suffered at his hands can't be half as humiliating as messaging his friends/girlfriends trying to track him down.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
I agree too. No chance of getting it back no, I'm afraid. You're just going to have to let this one go.0

OP, if your ex was in any way a half way decent person, he would have already paid back the money. Please just charge the £1k to the credit card of life, learn from it and move on. Don't waste any more time tracking down wives, girlfriends, parents etc. Hopefully karma will raise its pretty head one day and your ex will end up falling into a bog or something.0

Its a learning lesson.
Over the years, i have many friends borrow cash from me. Which of course was never ever returned. From that, the answer now is always "No". You already owe me.
The first time its hard, but it gets easier.0 -
It sounds like this bloke will always be chasing his @rse when it comes to money.
Like others have said, you'll just have to put this one down to experience I'm afraid.0
