I know quite a few of you have a bread maker and use it regularly, can anyone recommend one? After chatting to mum the other day I think this would be a good present for her for a date in December! I have no idea about them though so would like some advice.
Also going to give Ebaying a go but have never sold many things on it. After tonight I will have a few things but want to wait for one of these free-listing thingys if possible (how much difference does it make?), how do you get things ready?
Mine is a Morphy Richards and it quite excellent.
I get stuff out.. wipe of dust if necessary.. do lots of pics all together.. and upload them all to one folder. I rename pics wit make and size and use turbolister to do the listings.. and I upload in multiples of 5. I do not wash/iron/polish anything..
if it is a start price off 99p or less you don't pay listing fees for up to 100 items a month.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Surprised myself with how much flying I have done today, I'll update my list in a minute.
Just having a cuppa then I need to pop to town for dinner, once DS2 is home to be with DS3.
?for those with kids
What do you think of other kids knocking on the door and asking to come round to play? Kids next door have taken to doing it and it is really annoying me. It used to be they'd knock and ask for DS3 to go round and he'd do the same but now they knock just to come in here. They have an au pair looking after them after school. Am I just being a misery? I said no today as I've spent the whole day flying, DS2 is not feeling well and I need to go to the shops. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
i agree with you on that one dusty, i used to have problems with it and had friends inviting themselves round staying for tea etc and mne never went round theirs. i had to start saying no as i just got fed up with being an unpaid childminder.SPC~12 ot 124

Dusty - I wouldn't be very happy at all. Knocking to ask someone to come out is different. But someone else, other than you, is being paid to care for those kids.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you everyone who made suggestions about the washing powder thing yesterday.
Abis21: Frogs and Ebay - it's nowhere near as difficult as you think it's going to be. If the photo is the right way up on the screen and in focus you're ahead of a lot of people listing for the first time! The more information about the item you can put in the description the better. Quick tip - read other people's descriptions of similar items to get the hang of what would make you want to buy the item, but don't just copy them, because of copyright. There's a good thread on MSE on getting started and questions regarding Ebaying for beginners which I found helpful when I started.
ajmoney: I decided to get a breadmaker because it's one way of economising on groceries, and the bread is so much better than anything you can buy without spending an arm and a leg. If you have a look at the Grocery Challenge thread one of the tips is to get one. A few people said Panasonics are pretty reliable so I got hold of a secondhand one to see if I agreed - and I do! One of the main reasons they are available secondhand is that they are unwanted gifts, and they can be expensive so it's worth asking your mum if she'd actually use it.Better is good enough.0 -

She stayed with my sister last weekend to look after my niece and ended up looking after one of her friends too. The mum took some bread round as a thank you and my mum said how much she had enjoyed it. I might ask her anyway to check though. I could buy her a new one and get us a second hand one :AMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

ive got a goodmans cuisine bm, i got it for £5 at the carboot, works great, like you say loads of people get them as gifts and dont use them so off load. before this i had a hinari that was great as well till DS dropped the pan the bread cooks in when drying up and cracked it so it leaked and made the whole mb useless, ive hung on to the main part just incase but i doubt ill find a pan with a broken bm. so its probally just attic filler i should dispose of.
have cleared out undersink cupboard washed it down and put everything back tidy, i also washed the bin out thats sored in there so did a proper job.
kitchen and front door window clean inside and out and the outside of the front door has been washed down.
just going to s&s the bathroom now then will dust puter table etc down. DH is helping me with the lampshades over the weekend as they are those glass dome type that need unscrewing and emptying off moths and little bugs YUK.
that just leaves the landing and my own lists to carry over to next week.
have a good weekend allSPC~12 ot 124

Thank you for the info but I'm not a beginnerI go through stages in selling and sometimes I get a massive load listed and sold and feel really good (and rich for a while :rotfl:), and then I stall and don't list anything for ages and ages. I had to register as a business seller in march/april as I had sold that much stuff they wouldn't have it that I was a private seller, but I haven't sold a single thing since April  I thought it was less time ago than that - have just been and checked
Anyways, I have photo'ed the latest batch of stuff and now on to the BORING listing and description part. This is normally around the stage where I start procrastinating - so wish me luck :rotfl::rotfl: Come on froggy - I can do this :rotfl:Married my lobster in July 2011
