had an afternoon of thinking, inbetween life and a's!
I havent posted too much lately due to moving, and house stuff etc but have read every post and taken advantage of glitches.
The last few weeks i have seen tempers fly and nasty words said or offence taken at smilies, people being what i concider a little short with constant repetative questions and so forth. To the point it gets a little disheartening to be bothered.
Today, i did what i thought was a nice jesture and anyway, ive seen loads of ahhh and so sweets about the toys i am sending to trisha, and my post got more thanks than ive ever had!
I did it because i simoly thiught it would be nice to help someone less fortunat than myself. I know trisha wont take offence at this comment.
I, like most normal people have had some horrible stuff in my life. I spent 18months in hospital at 14 due a crumbled spine, had to learn to walk again and missed school. But worked hard and got all b's in gcse's.
I was in a crappy marriage, with a child, the ex dragged me through court for 12 yrs (very complicated stuff) which culminated in ds1 being abducted by his dad, the. Finally taken into care for rehabilitation as he was abused mentally and physcologically by his dad. I didnt see my son for 2 yrs but eventually got him back and his dad is not allowed to have any contact with him apart from letters 12 times a year, which he has never done.
Inbetween times, i became homeless for a short time until i picked myself up, got a job and then a flat. I met the most wonderful person in the world who showed me kindness i thought not possible. He took on me and my child and we havent looked back. I am now in a comfortable position with everything i need (not want, you can never have too many holidays!)
without the support of my family and friends i would have crumbled. Some of the support i got from people on here was overwhelming.
Life has taught me a lot of lessons. If someone says something i constuct as nasty. I am never nasty back, and i always try to consider the situation before saying anything. Dont get me wrong, i have a gob and half on me if anyone is horrible to my family or friends without need.
In hospital, i was in a pretty bad way, but, there was always someone worse than me.
Through court, it could have been worse. My son had rehabilitation, and most of all, the love and nurturing he needed to go on to be a wonderful son.
What im babbling on about is, lets get back to being a lovely helpful community without the sniping and taking things at face value. Lets help not hinder. If someone does something nice for you. Do something nice for someone else. Even if its a stranger.

I don't normally comment on the spats, but please can you guys give it a rest with your snide comments at each other - it doesn't make for pleasant reading. I seem to recall in the DTD days that the threads kept getting closed down when arguments broke out.
I am obviously a visitor rather than a member of the gang, but even I can see this is a public forum and therefore anyone on here is by definition public and the information is bound to be found. We have all gained from various deals, glitches and other information on here, this is one of the latest. From experience, anything that appears on here appears in Google searches within hours. And in many cases anything particularly "hot" gets straight into Martin's email newsletter which then takes it out to millions directly (and I don't see Martin regularly getting accused of taking credit, despite the whole basis of the MSE site to pull together information that he or we have found and he has built a business empire around it ...!).
Personally, I found Henlan's list very helpful in pulling information together as a starting point (which he appears to have acknowledged in his post) but have also found these threads invaluable in confirming other items and getting my head round the specifics, plus getting answers to what may seem to be stupid questions (and in some cases are - search doesn't work on iPhone so it can be tricky finding the right information).
So thank you ALL for all you help - and please remember to be nice to other moneysavers.
And just who was bathing in the glory of that particular tram smash ?

Did he mean more than 10 vouchers or a voucher worth more than £10 ???
Can you remember using more than ten vouchers - possibly if you are going in every day/several times a day. I thought the limit was £100 not 10?
I am not sure sure how a security gaurd can remember who is going in and out of a store and what vouchers they have used when to buy what with on what day, do thye keep an excel chart on their customers ....
Anyway next week is October and you should be able to use 10 more!
Erm, Possibly
The limit says 10 vouchers or £100 per household
The security guard said they were monitoring me:eek:0 -
thank you queen of cheap:) the £4 bag is 3 4 2 in waitrose. I will get that one and report back...just not sure if I should get 2 or 3 bags.
get 2 bags and the rice
or
5 bags and the rice
you can swap some of the IAMs for cereal or cleaning things if you want to
I generally tend to go for 6 or 9. Any more than that, my resulting APG gets cappedI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I read this and all I can see is blah blah blah blah blah.
Just shut up!!!!!!!!!!
You really are boring now. Nobody cares if they are on your ignore list. If they do care then God help them.
You act like you think your delboy.
You're just some man that happened to be here when a big glitch kicked off and steal peoples lists to make your own list then give the impression you know everything about it.
Snore zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz snore.
You act as if you're helping the "newbies" when actually a lot of them have been out with your list and got it WRONG!
P.s: please don't put me on ignore. I don't think I could handle being on another ignore list the trauma each time is just too much to handle. *Rolls eyes*
i just thought id quote, because i can. he may have missed it if you are on ignore.:T:T0 -
Surely on the T&C you can use more than 10 vouchers, if they aren't all yours. I genuinally do my mums shopping, so I use her 10 per month, and my 10 per month and sometimes a few for my great aunt.
It only says each household can only claim 10 vouchers per month, not that they can't give them to others to use IMHO.
I did say this to the guard, he still said no!0 -
