  • I am going back to mainly lurking for a while, as can't be doing with all the talk about fraud/tax etc etc. Too much like work talk!

I spend all day dealing with frauds, don't want to be thinking about it when I am trying to relax surfing on my favourite sites!

I don't usually quote things like this as I check things for myself, but after all the squabbling recently I wish to give Witchy a special mention for the most helpful post of the week.

T's has some BOGOF deals starting tomorrow to add to the ones already in place

Shame the 16g Options Hot Chocolate for 40p isn't on MSM at all. That could have been a nice trigger to test out :(

We have this in our store... you register your clubcard on the machine, then off you go scanning and packing. The first time they check your bags to make sure you've scanned everything, after that it's just random checks.
Safeways used to do this but at the end of the shop it would weigh your bags.

Didn't Sainsburys also have this years back ...I wonder why other supermarkets who adopted this approach then decided to scap it .

oh sorry to hear but have you tried to put in a lower offer, you never know in the current climateand they can only say no

We were the 15th couple to view it in the first 24 hours of it going on the market. No way they will accept less than home report value, certainly not that much below it

It would have been the perfect family home too :(

Back to the drawing board. We'll just have to look at smaller properties or properties well outside of our desired area

We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits. :)

    I'm on a real downer now :(

We met with a mortgage advisor a couple months back who told us we could get £X when we came to buying a new property.

With that in mind we sold ours, found one we want to get, got back in touch to finalise the finances only to find he has left and his replacement says the maximum we can get is £13k LESS than the first guy told us

No way we can afford the house we really want now :(

That's bad news aau1, i wonder where the discrepancy of the unlucky 13k came from .
Is there any way they can find it in their hard hearts to stick to the original ?
