And if he'd kept schtum about his activities they might have sufficed. Unfortunately in his quest for fame and adulation he's stupidly boasted on a public forum about how he sells it at car bootsales and at work and his son at school.
Admittedly he's backtracking now....but he might discover to his cost that he should have kept his gob shut and his camera in it's case. :(
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Wot about a wee shandy or bavaria - too low in alcohol to be classed as drink.

One shandy and a tonic water on the bar, fill your boots. Well dont as they would get soggy but you know what I mean. :rotfl:

Any income is taxable after the personal allowance, so yes just over £3k tax free in any job / hobby is tax free, but just because it's a hobby doesn't mean it isn't taxed. If you've already got another job then you would pay tax on the £3k from your hobby - a good example is mystery shopping - all taxed if you already earn more than the personal allowance elsewhere.

Interesting! Thats not how I remember reading it. I declared such an income a few years back citing that the income was currently negligible. the tax office were fine about it and never came back on it. I suppose had I notified an increase they may have.
I'm sorry, these vouchers are only exchangeable for abuse!

  • I've not been posting as I would probably be banned for some of the comments I could have made over the last week or so..HOWEVER..tonight I am making an exception as I applaud you for standing up, as a "newbie" and making your point. What you have said is exactly how others have, in the past, used these anomalies in order to not only benefit themselves with some "treats" but others less fortunate also. They have not gained in the true financial sense.e.g. selling it on nor have they demonstrated a level of greed which I personally find abhorrent.
Those who in recent weeks have bragged about what they have done and how much they have made "in order to help others to do the same" (apologies for not quoting word for word) are delusional (A delusion is a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary) and have probably prevented anyone from benefiting in any small way in the future without being tarred with the same very large and self promoting brush.

This glitch has been running for months and continues to do so. Capped at £15 now, but the limit is still £100 per month so no problem in doing 6 x £15 and staying entirely within the t&c's and amassing a reasonable little stash. No better or worse than doing one £40 and one £50 as was possible before the cap. Its all still good.
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused
  • will happily apply for vouchers for you if you pm me the details - have no one that young to use any for!!
