While i understand some of your points ie germs get spread about and a common cold is a bit more serious to some people, i really dont think you can keep your child away from school for it i want my children to get the best education they can and keeping them home for a few weeks a year as they have a cold does not sit right with me they miss so much work in a few wekks it is hard for them to catch up.
Second i work and if i kept calling in sick every time i had a cold i would be dismissed we can only be off a number of times in a 12 month period. some people do not get paid to if they dont go to work and not everyone can afford time off work
Sorry for rant i know everyone is entiteld to thier opion but i can see everyones point on this.

I'm with you on this one, however much my 2 groaned, moaned and whinged, sneezed,coughed or spluttered they were always sent to school after being told "if you are that ill the school will call me and i will collect you"
mind you i did feel guilty the day i got a phone call to collect 1, turns out they had appendicitus and spent a week in hospital! oppps

right back to cleaning!

it would have been a typical smoker thing to do , as with any habit we try to break we try to make it easier for ourselves either by putting it off for short periods or lying to ourselves with silly excuses ,I've been partial to both of these and more ...


a good thing about starting now is that if you do run into trouble in the next week the resources and support are up and running to accomadate you and offer immediate help at becoming stronger to beat the habit .

I'm sure (as many here will testify) that in 2 or 3 days you'll feel stronger about the non smoking and take the fight further .

I don'tlike the smell of cigarettes or the blue smoke they give off but I can tolerate a roll your own ...and I like the smell of some pipe tobaccos .

You know you can do , it it's as simple as that .

I can confirm coke worked from 11.30 shop this morning.

I agree! My dad always told me unless i needed an ambulance i had to go to school. then when i tried to put it o he'd pretend to ring 999 so i'd get scared and get ready to go :rotfl:

Hello everyone

Well done magic owen on quiting smoking today I'm sure you'll do brilliantly.

Leo has lost another 2lbs woohooo just under 3 and half stone now, cant work out if he's lost 8 or 10 lbs but whichever its very good
in size smaller nappies now too!! So saving money
