  • Get androids..... (oops lol)

Really, with Apples history you should wait a bit before upgrading the software. They have been known to make a few mistakes. Androids are the same, I always research on Google if the latest versions released went ok, if there are people complaining, I wait a week or two.

I wish I hadnt bothered with the upgrade - no proper YouTube app and Apple maps is useless. I'd recommend that anyone stays with iOS 5.

I have to agree with the above - Apple has lost its way letting the customer experiance suffer because of the spat they're having with Google - I won't be buying any of their shares that's for sure.

the Youtube website is another option, it in many respects was better than the default app even before it was removed, you can pin it to your home screen so it acts like an app if you want as well.

Pre IOS 6, entering this address in Safari:
    youtube://
...would launch the proper Youtube app even if not installed (as on Chinese iPhones for example)

For convenience you can make a favourite in Safari

Wonder if this works on IOS 6?
Doubt it but worth a spin, please report your findings!
  • I hate the upgrade.That is all.....

Just found out also, if you enter the address maps:// in Safari it launches the Google maps proper App. What happens in IOS 6 if you do this?

I've upgraded the OS and if anything safari works quicker. Haven't found any issues yet.
Same here. The Settings app also appears quicker.

I'd recommend everyone upgrades to iOS 6. The YouTube website works fine, and so does the Google maps website. Or did the app do something the website doesn't?

You've always been able to do that, it's not a new feature in iOS 6.
