Ipad 2 question re ios 6

I am not very good with technology so please be patient if I am asking stupid questions!!
My daughter has "upgraded" her ipad 2 to ios 6 and now she has lost youtube and it seems facetime is not connecting. Is there anything we can do?

You Tube is not a feature on iOS 6, but you can download it for free from the App Store.

Can't help with Facetime I'm afraid :S

Think we got facetime going - phew! The app in the app store is for iphone and so is downloading small? Or are we doing something wrong?

It's only available for iPhone at the mo although it still works on iPad.

Supposed to be an iPad version 'in the works'

How is the iOS 6 working on the iPad 2? I've put off downloading it for now because I'm worried about it making it slower. I also don't want to lose Google Maps because I use it very often on my iPad and after seeing the mapps app on my iPhone 5 I definitely don't want to lose it!!

She has looked at the maps - she is 15 so finding it very entertaining!! I think if you want to use it seriously it's not very good!!
I think my children don't use the ipads to their full potential - use it for twitter/facebook/ youtube etc.
They haven't noticed it going slower, but they have the wifi ones not the one you can use on the go as such!

Same here, mine's wifi not 3G. The sat nav part of the maps is great, but the actual maps aren't! And I wont be using the iPad as a sat nav lol.
I only worry because when I updated my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5 it became incredibly slow, so have been reluctant to upgrade my iPad

I don't really know too much about the upgrading etc - I just leave the kids to it, but after this I've been looking online and people are saying not to upgrade to this one - I guess another one will be along soon enough that will iron out the glitches (or am I just being naive?)

I've upgraded the OS and if anything safari works quicker. Haven't found any issues yet.

Safari is very quick, I thought our broadband had received a free ugrade but it is still the same. The maps and satellite images are useless.
