that sounds a good deal - it was just the one he put me on films and stuff... I will have a look as i'm not that long into the contract unfortunatley but i guess if you don't ask...

Definitely worth asking. On the package I could I bought the odd film for £3.99. Cheaper than the cinema or buying it outright so it's kinda MSE worthy...;)

    Well I feel sick

    Today all went so well...
    1. I spoke to santander that were happy for me to manage my own DMP
    2. I banked £5 of coppers
    3. I worked out I could really cut my food bills
    4. I got an agency call me regarding a job I applied for
    ..... then I came home

I've recieved a court summons for non-payment of council tax today - asking me to attend court 1pm on the 27th September - and the letter is dated 27th September!

I feel sick... I quickly grabbed all my statements and my calculations show that i'm up to date? I recieved a letter asking me to pay £85 and then I could continue my payments but as I had already done this I thought it was a cross over in the post

I've shot a letter to the council and I will call them first thing tomorrow..I really felt good until I go home - I don't know what i'm going to do I don't have £500 or the £45 costs and I'm worried the court will have gone against me because I didn't turn up. If they have done a CCJ thats it I can kiss a new job goodbye in my line of work i'm devistated

Good luck Lou! It sounds like the whole thing is an error.

I think it sounds like an error too... try not worry too much (easy for me to say) and get on the phone to them first thing. I'm sorry I have no advice as I have no idea about this kind of thing.

Excellent news about Santander and the agency work!

Keeping everything crossed fo you tomorrow, good luck !!

    Hey!!

    Thanks for the support guys!

I called the number on the letter.... number out of date!

Finally cheated the automatted system to actually speak to a real person! and basically the date on the summons was all wrong and she was really off with me about it!! i stayed nice a pie and she the transferred me through to someone in the office..

Basically I am up todate but my payments are due by the 6th of every month...So they issued for late payment not non-payment! my fault I guess I didn't think it mattered what date as long as there was a payment each month so bit silly my end :o... they recieved my sept payment on the 26th (pay day) and issued the summons on the 27th! still we hashed out a payment arrangement for the rest of the year all sorted :) Thank goodness! and i've reinstated my direct debit I don't ever want to feel like that again!

Lesson learnt! i am sooo relieved

So after that phone call this morning I swung back into action..£110.08 paid off of santander so will up date siggy.. and i'm re-doing my budget spreadsheet to put in the council tax charges as the have charged me a fee :(

still i'm not going to let i get me down - i faced it, dealt with it and it's sorted!

    Next challenge please!
